Pet care experience
Studies animal management + nursing
Ive taken care of my own dog (Yorkie) since I was 10, after that I’ve worked with dogs throughout collage and university. I’ve worked at a groomers, dog behaviouralist and at the vets as a student vet nurse. I can work with big and small dogs alike, with both nervous or ‚spicy’ personalities. I can walk dogs, train them, trim their nails, give them baths and brushed them out (but can’t clip or trim fur due to lack of equipment). I can administer topical, oral and injectable medications and know how to look after puppies, sick / injured, or geriatric dogs.

Ratings and reviews
Maja is excellent with pets. She is calm and well natured as well as being very receptive to pets at different life stages. Maja has taken care of my cat Yukino a number of times, kept me updated during and raised any concerns about her time with Yukino. She goes at the pace of the pets and is always patient with them: letting them come to her. I know Yukino is in good hands with Maja. I trust Maja to care for my cat in my absence and would recommended her to entrust your pet to.
Maja took great care of my 3 kittens (4-7 months). I had Maja look after them for a couple of days at a time a few times due to unexpected work trips and I’ve always trusted her with them. She made sure they ate and played well during their stay with her. One of them needed to be syringe fed medicine which I was too scared to do, but she did it no problem! Had she not moved away for university I would have happily left them in Maja’s care for all future pet sitting.
I can’t recommend Maja highly enough. She is absolutely fantastic with dogs and has a natural way of making them feel safe, comfortable and loved. I’ve seen first-hand how caring, patient and attentive she is with my dog, Idefix. Maja took wonderful care of Idefix, making sure he was properly fed, exercised and given plenty of attention and playtime. She was also brilliant with his grooming, including bathing him and carefully clipping his paw nails. She was patient with his training too, always encouraging him in a calm and positive way. What really stands out about Maja is how naturally dogs respond to her. They seem to trust her almost immediately and genuinely love being around her. She treats every dog as an individual and gives them the affection, care and attention they need. Maja is responsible, reliable, gentle and genuinely passionate about animals. I would have absolutely no hesitation leaving a dog in her care and would happily recommend her to any pet parent looking for someone they can trust. Idefix was always happy and well cared for with Maja, and that says everything!

Schedule
I’m currently working part-time as a bartender (Friday and Saturday nights, and the occasional mid week night shift), so I’m available all week during the day, and most of the week over night. This may change once I find a full time position, however I’d be happy to continue services for regulars or on special occasions given prior notice.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to go clients homes as that’s where the animals feel the safest, but if that’s not possible I’m able to bring animals to my home. I have a few house mates that you might cross paths with that don’t mind animals in the house. I have a big living room, which is where we’d spend most of the time (outside of walks and sleep) and I have a very small garden, however it’s too small to be comfortable long term. During nights, I’d bring the pets up to my room and either put them in a kennel if provided and requested by owner, or will allow them to sleep on my bed (if owner permits). While taking care of cats, they would be kept indoors at all times unless leashed walks are requested, and I’d require the owner to provide a harness, cage or kennel for transport and safety reasons. For pick ups and drop offs, I can only provide this if you are within walking or public transport distance and my main mode of transport is not suitable for pets.
A typical day
I first try to get to know your pet and act according to their comfortability. If your pet prefers to hide in a corner and it doesn’t like handling, I will keep an eye on them but keep my distance. If your pet loves human interaction, I’d give them all the hugs and kisses and maybe do a bit of casual grooming (unless asked otherwise).
