Hi, I’m Maika (pronounced May-ka — like “makeup” without the “up” 😊). I’m a loving, dependable pet care professional with 8+ years of experience caring for dogs, cats, puppies, seniors, and pets with special needs. My background in the U.S. Air Force taught me structure, reliability, communication, and attention to detail.. qualities I bring into every home I enter. When your pet is with me, they’re treated like family. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are extremely important to me. I send plenty of photos and videos throughout the stay so you always know how your fur baby is doing. If any concerns come up, I’ll contact you immediately so we can decide the best course of action together. To help me provide the best care possible, please let me know ahead of time about: 🐾 anxiety 🐾 escape tendencies 🐾 aggression/reactivity 🐾 medical needs 🐾 allergies 🐾 behavioral quirks I also ask that pet parents provide written care instructions including feeding schedules, medications, emergency contacts, and anything else that helps keep your pet comfortable and safe. For privacy and safety reasons, I appreciate being informed about indoor cameras before the booking begins. My goal is always to care for your pets exactly the way you would. 💕

Wesley LOVED Maika! she took excellent care of him while we were gone for the weekend. I recieved a lot of pics and videos of our pup and tons of great communication! Will book her again!
What a Godsend. We came home to happy cat and dog and and a very clean home, even the garbage cans had been taken to the curb for pickup! We received photos sharing their adventures while we were gone easing our separation anxiety. Maika spoiled them and us!
Maika is AMAZING with pets. We have a very protective pup and she is literally the dog whisperer. She exudes love and a calming nature that makes everyone relaxed and happy.
Maika was incredibly sweet and kind to my girls. I didn’t worry at all leaving my 14 week old pup overnight. I will definitely rebook!
Maika is an outstanding pet sitter! She stayed in our home and gave each of our little ones special attention so they wouldn’t miss us too much. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. She also has a very warm and bubbly personality making it a joy to interact with her. Will definitely be requesting Maika again.
Maika is absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better experience for us and our furbabies. Because this was our very first time leaving our 2 senior cats for an extended period (19 days) and one was on medication there was initial trepidation. Maika was so warm, personable and knowledgeable at our first meeting we immediately felt at ease. Throughout our extended time away she sent the cutest daily videos. Our furbabies always looked so relaxed curled up with Maika. Of course that's when they weren't playing together!

Dates de la garde
I currently accept a limited number of bookings at a time so each pet gets personalized attention and care. During overnight bookings, I am there with your pet overnight and up to 18 hours per day only leaving to tackle errands or to get in a good workout!

- Please advise of any behavioral conditions ahead of time such as protective traits, anxiety, excessive barking, aggression/bite history, escape tendencies, etc. These are not dealbreakers; it’s good to know ahead of time what to expect so I can ensure I approach the situation in the right way.
