Pet care experience

Where Your Dog is Family

Between the two of us, we bring a genuinely unique set of skills to pet care that goes well beyond loving animals. Madyson's background is in nursing and direct patient care. That experience translates directly — she's trained to follow precise routines, notice subtle changes in behavior or condition, stay calm under pressure, and advocate for whoever is in her care. For dogs, that means she picks up on anxious behavior early, respects each dog's individual needs, and knows how to keep a calm, structured environment that helps even nervous dogs settle in quickly. She is also fully comfortable administering medications and managing dietary needs. Jamison brings a background in fitness, coaching, and hands-on work. He understands routine, consistency, and how to read when something is off. He leads our morning activity, walks, and outdoor time — and takes pride in making sure every dog in our care is physically stimulated, not just fed and left alone. Together, we have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, energy levels, and temperaments — from high-energy young dogs to seniors who need a slower, more attentive pace. We are comfortable with puppies, though we handle them with extra structure and patience given how much they need during that stage. One of us is home and present throughout the entire day — always. Dogs in our care are never left for extended periods. That consistency is something we take seriously and something every owner we've worked with has noticed immediately.

Madyson did an absolute incredible job with Coco! Because Coco was previously an outside dog in Tucson and his family just recently moved to Phoenix, he’s been going through a massive adjustment period. He isn’t house-trained yet, and we were really nervous about how he’d handle being inside and interacting with other dogs. The first day, he was a total bundle of nerves and just hid in the corner, but Madyson was so patient and comforting with him. Thanks to her incredible care, he didn’t have a single accident inside the apartment after the first day, and he even started opening up and playing with the other dogs! We have seen flashes of our fearless Coco but Madyson helped to bring that confidence all the way out again. We are so grateful for Madyson and her frequent updates and couldn't recommend her enough.

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She took such great care of our Australian Shepherd while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. It was obvious from the updates and photos that our pup was happy, loved, and well cared for the entire time. She was reliable, communicative, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Coming home to a relaxed and happy dog is the best feeling, and it’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. We are so grateful for her help and would absolutely trust her again in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and attentive to watch their pets!

Madison did a great job taking care of Coco! She sent us photos from Coco as many as she could. I will ask her again to take care of Coco.

Schedule

Pet care is the center of our daily routine — not something we fit around it. Between the two of us, one of us is home and present with the dogs throughout the entire day. We structure our personal schedules around our guests, not the other way around. Mornings start with outdoor time and breakfast, and the day flows from there — walks, activity, downtime, and an evening routine that helps dogs wind down comfortably. Bookings are kept intentionally small so that our schedule never feels stretched and every dog always has someone nearby.

Safety, trust & environment

Our home is a calm, controlled environment with a small number of dogs at any given time — never more than four. We believe that environment itself is a form of safety, and we put a lot of thought into keeping our space low-stress for every dog in it. Before a first stay, we always recommend a meet-and-greet. It gives your dog a chance to explore our home, meet us, and get comfortable before the booking begins — which makes a real difference in how quickly they settle in. We keep emergency vet information on hand and know the local options in the Peoria area well. We are comfortable managing medications, special diets, and individual feeding schedules. Any behavioral notes, sensitivities, or health needs you share with us ahead of time will be followed precisely. Throughout every stay, we send photo and video updates so you always know your dog is comfortable and happy. You'll never have to wonder.

Pets

A typical day

Every day starts with outdoor time and breakfast served on your dog's normal schedule — we stick to what they're used to so there's as little disruption as possible. After that, it's downtime — which in our house usually means couch time, some play, and a lot of just hanging out together. Afternoons are relaxed and flexible depending on the dog. Some love a walk, some are happy to nap. We follow their lead. Dinner comes in the early evening on their usual schedule, followed by an evening walk to wind down before bed. Throughout the day we send photo and video updates — candid, real ones, not posed.

The more you tell us, the better we can care for your dog. Here's what helps us most going into a stay: Routine & feeding — What time do they eat, how much, and what food? Do they have any dietary restrictions or allergies? Medical needs — Any medications, supplements, or ongoing health conditions we should be aware of? Behavior & temperament — How do they do around other dogs? Are they anxious, reactive, or particularly shy in new environments? Any quirks we should know? Training level — What commands do they know and respond to? Are there any behaviors still being worked on? Emergency contact — Your preferred vet's name and number, plus a backup contact in case we ever need to reach someone quickly. No detail is too small. We'd rather know everything upfront and be fully prepared than have to guess along the way.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
