Pet care experience
Hi everyone, My name is Madison and animals have always been a part of my life since childhood! I recently lost my baby girl in June of 2025. She was a 10-year-old pitbull-pug mix (think of a pitbull but mini) who was the highlight of my day. Journey was adopted in 2020 from the local shelter. She was used as a bait and breeding dog, but through hard work and understanding, she is now 100% a couch potato and a daddy's girl who sometimes tolerates me. We also took in a stray kitten in 2021 who needed a home. Most of my life we had cats so he was a nice addition to our family! He is obsessed with his sister, Journey. My husband is active duty coast guard so of course I had to name my kitten Captain and he lives up to his name each day by annoying his sister to no ends. He is the most talkative, sister-obsessed boy you will meet and will always be a part of the conversation! I look forward to connecting with everyone through our pets and I hope to ease your day by helping our beloved animals!

I am part of Military housing on the island so we have lots of walking space! We can change it up however they like if they're a long walk kind of dog or short!

How they like to be greeted is a first question for me! My dog likes being talked too, Each dog I found has a positive way or a worried way of being greeted. Journey loves a treat if shes unsure ( I always have treats on hand for my baby) So whatever I can do to make it positive or better just let me know
A typical day
I try to remain as active as possible so most days will start with a long walk. This would change depending on pets needs! No one wants to walk with an empty belly. Afternoons are saved for games and maintenance my kitty is medium haired and needs brushing for a while! At this point its time for a puzzle or game to keep them entertained before they need the next walk. Night time wind down is simple dinner at 6 and cuddles. Captain loves a movie and to lay on us. Last bathroom breaks is around 10pm.
