I currently have a part time job (that cosplays as a full time job lol) so pet care will always be performed in tandem. I have some weekday availability depending on my shifts (early mornings and evenings are best) & limited weekends :)

My partner works from home so preferred care will take place at clients’ home just to respect his office hours (god forbid a man works ugh 😜) At the home though, I always check for any refreshments needed to water/food/and do a quick scan for any messes made prior to the visit. After making sure these things are done, I’ll spend time with the pet for the remainder of the visit and give some belly rubs to tide them over until their parent is home ;)

A typical day
I love a brisk walk, maybe a little jog if I’m feeling sassy! It’s fun to see if pets know any tricks so sometimes I’ll go through the roster of “sit, shake, lay” just for funsies. Audiobooks usually accompany my outings but I always make sure to be attentive and engage with the pet while out as I’ve learned hearing a friendly voice helps them feel more grounded in their environment.

Being a dog walker has been so great for my mental health as it helps me get outside, stay active and obviously a bonus is getting to love on some furry friends! I try to be very intuitive of every pets’ needs (I have worked with seniors and very anxious dogs in the past), and adapt to their energy levels while making sure they feel safe and stimulated during our time together. I also work at a local bookstore in Atlanta which is home to a shop cat named Draco Meowfoy (lol I know) and learning to care for him initiated a journey towards becoming a cat owner myself! My fiance and I are pet parents to a one year old orange cat and truly having the time of our lives. Madison is so sweet and was so great with my cat! My cat immediately curled up on her lap and craved her attention. The photos she took were so precious and could immediately tell my cat loves her. She was very communicative and we would definitely book with Madison again!
