Safety, trust & environment

I am happy to perform multiple tasks to make sure your pet is happy and well cared for! These could be feedings, playtime, potty breaks, medicine, or even just some company and love. If your pet has any specific habits, rituals, preferences, needs, etc., I'd be happy to oblige! I will also send photos and/or videos to make your feel more up to date and comfortable about your pet's care. Pets are a part of the family so I am dedicated to making sure I treat your pets as if they were my own.

Information Lydia S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that I should be aware of. These could include medical conditions, allergies, schedules, reactivity to other dogs or people, places on their body they do not like to be touched, etc. The safety of your pet (and those interacting with your pet) is extremely important to me and I want to make sure that everyone is set up to succeed!

A typical day

I want to make sure that your pets are stimulated both mentally and physically! For drop in visits, we can play with their favorite toys or games, practice any training or skills they are working on, lots and lots of pets (of course), and get some outside time if the weather allows for it. I will always make sure that your pet has enough water and food, takes a potty break, and is as comfortable as possible. For walks, I can talk your dog around your neighborhood, local parks, or local trails and will always bring water and poop bags. I will go wherever you prefer, and if you are unsure of a location near you, I know several in the area I can suggest. If you and your dog have a preference between vigorous, casual, or sniffy walks, just let me know!

Will treat your pets as my own!

Pet care experience

I have been an avid dog and animal lover my entire life. I have had 3 wonderful dogs growing up and am hoping to have one of my own soon! With my most recent family dog, I took over the task of completing all of her puppy training when I was just 14 and was complimented multiple times on how well behaved she was. I volunteered with an animal shelter in high school and as an adult have fostered through To Love a Canine. I have also participated in To Love a Canine's Miles for Mutts as a dog runner for multiple years. There have also been multiple occasions where I have watched or checked in on family and friends' pets while they have gone away. The experience that inspired me to join Rover was actually taking dogs out for "Shelter Skip Days" with the Brandywine Valley SPCA. Getting to help animals in any way is a huge passion of mine, and I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets at home all day while working. I will do whatever you and your pets need to make sure everyone is happy and to give your pets the best life possible!

Lydia does a wonderful job with my Labrador's . She goes out of her way to make sure they are both cared for during her visit. They are always happy to see her. I very pleased with the service she provides and will recommend to my friends and neighbors.
