I've been brought up with dogs around me since I was a little kid, I started looking after and taking care of my pets since the age of 8. For the past 15 years, I've had experiences with a wide variety of dog's. I've worked with local shelters to help rescue puppies that were abandoned, as well as volunteering to foster them which included feeding and bathing them, training them with basic commands and helping them get adopted into loving families. I own a healthy German Shepherd dog who's 11 years old, named Cooper. I've taken care of her since she was a puppy. Cooper is my soul dog and we have the best time together travelling to new places and going on hikes. I've also volunteered and worked at animal welfare charities for 5+ years. Whilst working at the welfare center, some of my duties involved: 1. Feeding and cleaning up after the dogs in my care 2. Providing enrichments for the dogs 3. Taking them out for a walk 4. Administering any medication 5. Behavioral training (basic commands, muzzle association) through positive reinforcement only. 6. Grooming and bathing dogs 7. Showering every dog with unconditional love! Working at a shelter can be emotionally challenging but also fulfilling at the same time, because of the difference we're able to make in the dogs life and helping them get rehomed into loving families. Looking after dogs, no matter what size or breed, has always been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
