Experienced dog lover offering a home from home
Pet care experience
I have over 30 years of experience with animals having grown up with dogs, cats and horses. I am a dog lover and even worked at Battersea Dogs Home for 3 years in my 20s! I have always had dogs in my life and currently we have a beautiful 3 year old Fox Red Labrador called Margot. Your dog will feel welcome and at home with plenty of stimulation or a quiet space if required.
Reviews

Lisa and her family looked after our excitable 7-month puppy for 4 days, and we could not be more happy with the entire experience. it was the first time our dog was away from us for more than a few hours, but after meeting Lisa, we immediately felt so re-assured, as her love for dogs and calm, experienced manner was evident. Lisa also sent lots of photos of our very happy-looking dog, who loved having the friendly, chilled family dog and children as additional company. We will definitely book again.

Great communication, plus Lisa was excellent at giving us daily photos of Millie and updating us on what Millie had been doing. Very attentive to taking her on early morning and evening walks (with streams!) given the hot weather. Would recommend to others.

It was clear to see when I picked up Albert from our week away that he had an even better holiday! After anxious over-grooming at kennels and a recommendation from a friend, we booked Lisa and family and he had a wonderful week of long and varied walks and lots of attention. I wholeheartedly recommend Lisa to anyone wanting to leave their dog in kind and capable hands.

We were very pleased with Lisa who looked after our boy whilst we were away, we had plenty of pictures and updates from Lisa whilst on holiday, our boy seemed settled and totally content with plenty of walks and exercise, sadly he had one incident where we was not well for a short period and Lisa dealt with it competently and professionally keeping us updated with reports and pictures, when we collected him he was happy and full of joy, I would certainly use Lisa again.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large garden and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We are lucky to have the Bathurst Estate as well as the Churn Valley on our door step for lots of country walks. We have two children who have grown up with dogs so they are very respectful and calm. Plus a very charming and patient female Labrador for company. Margot is very respectful of other dogs, playful if there is a playful dog in the house but equally knows when to back off and be calm when required. Every dog has different needs so I will be guided by the dog owner on routine, feeding, walks, sleeping arrangements etc. This will form part of our meet and greet session.

Information Lisa G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviours to be aware of ahead of their stay. I would always recommend a meet and greet to discuss their needs ahead of their stay with us. It is important for pet owners to be very honest about their dogs before confirming a booking and if a dog shows unwelcome behaviour, such as aggression or trying to escape I will terminate the stay immediately. Please also note that if your dog damages, ruins or soils my property I will seek compensation.
A typical day
Our dog Margot is walked twice a day so your dog will have lots of fresh air and exercise. During term time your dog will join on the morning school run, with up to an hours walk in the Bathurst Estate. We also have a large garden for exploring, sniffing and playing ball during the day or lots of sofas for chilling out! Late afternoon / early evening your dog will join for the evening walk after their supper. If your dog stays with us for a longer period they will experience normal family life. We are an outdoorsy, sociable family so your dog will join in lots of fun activities and social events. During school holidays the day is more relaxed, lots of lovely walks with the children. As you will see from my photos we have also taken dogs on our holidays (with owners permission!) and memories are made at the beach or up a mountain! Never a dull moment!
