I do not host pets because I have a cat of my own, but at a client’s house, I am more than happy to do whatever makes them feel comfortable in terms of safety, trust, etc. I will do any number of check in’s with you (ex. send a picture of your pet once a day, once a visit, text you updates only if needed). Unless explicitly stated by the client (ex. “you can help yourself to anything in the fridge”), I treat their home as I would a workplace- come in to do my job, dont interfere with anything that does not directly have to do with that.
