My career sabbatical gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on pet care. I am available during weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting, including longer visits. Because I am not balancing pet care around a full-time office job, I can give dogs my full attention and keep closely to their usual feeding, walking and rest routines.

I will carefully follow all instructions relating to feeding, medication, walks, behaviors and access to the home. I will send regular photos and updates, respond promptly and make sure you always know how your dog is doing. On our walks, I'm comfortable being firm with owners who let their dogs invade our space. At dog parks, I read the room constantly: signs of reactivity, fear, overstimulation, or rude play are my cue to leave before anything escalates. I trust what I see over what owners tell me — "he's friendly" means nothing if the body language says otherwise.

I grew up with poodles and cats but I’m confident to gain trust from all breeds! Before booking, please make sure to have an emergency plan with me: nearest emergency vet, what decisions I'm authorized to make, and insurance details, etc. I would like to treat your dog's safety as a discipline, not an afterthought.

We love going for long walks to the dog parks, followed by some dog-watching and playing, and then a long nap when we get home :)

I am taking a career sabbatical and would love to spend more of my time doing something that brings me real joy. I grew up with two dogs and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and comfort level. I take time to learn what makes each dog feel safe and happy, whether that means long walks, playtime, quiet company, plenty of cuddles or giving them space to settle in. My professional background has made me organised, responsible and clear in my communication. I'll treat your dog with the same kindness and care I'd want for my own. Lin has looked after my two dogs, Auggie, a British Bulldog, and Felix, a Dachshund, on two occasions, including over the Christmas break when she also house-sat for me. She was caring, dependable and attentive to both dogs’ different needs and personalities. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her care, and she kept me updated while I was away. Lin also took great care of my home and left everything clean and tidy. Auggie and Felix were both happy and relaxed when I returned. I would trust Lin to look after them again and would warmly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and responsible pet sitter.
