Pet care experience
I've had pets since a child, and have been working with dogs and training puppies for several years. I've been involved in my children's multiple 4H projects, learning how to care and provide for many animals - which has only strengthened our love and commitment to our pets! I'm also a nurse, and have some vet tech experience - so I know how to safely watch and care for your pet!

Lexl, her family & her home/ranch is a dog & dog-moms dream!!! Lexl was quick with responding, flexible & sweet. She & her family gave my dog the best day. He genuinely looked so happy being there & playing when we arrived to pick him up. He didn’t want to leave his new friends. We will be back to visit Pagosa Springs specifically because we know we can do activities where dogs are not allowed and Salsa (my dog) will be happy & cared for with Lexl. ****also, it is wise to listen to her suggestion with using google maps because Apple Maps led us to the wrong house.
Lexi took excellent care of both of my fur babies and their mother? Lexi provided the extra snuggles and affection they needed while their mom was away, took many walks, and sent daily pictures so I could see their adventures. I felt very assured that my dogs were in competent and caring hands!
My dog was treated like family and spoiled in the best way!! He was taken on walks and had plenty of outdoor time and cuddles. I got several updates and photos every day. Beautiful sights on the way up to their house. I could not recommend Lexl and her family more and would absolutely book again!
Lexi was absolutely awesome. Even in the midst of getting lost driving to their home, her and her amazing husband welcomed us with open arms. Highly recommend Lexi to anyone who needs a true 5-star pet sitter. Can’t wait until next time!

We live on a 4 acre ranch, and pups staying with us get plenty of exercise on our acreage and/or in our fenced exercise area. They also will lots of love and attention from myself and, when appropriate, my children. We have a friendly pup we rescued, who loves to make new friends!

I'd love to know any special routines, needs, etc.. that your pet has so I can keep things as consistent for them as possible. How do they get along with other dogs? Appreciate interaction with children or no? Command trained or needing leashing if in unfenced space?
A typical day
We have a 4 acre ranch and a beautiful wooded neighborhood, and I love to take our dogs out on long walks, play with them outdoors, and snuggle when back inside - your pup will be one of the pack while with us!

Availability
Your pups will have my full time and attention, as I am currently a stay-at-home mom. Dogs staying with us will have frequent bathroom breaks, cozy places to relax, and plenty of good exercise to keep them happy! Also happy to bring your pup for field trips/walks around town!
