Pet care experience
Betty and I have had cats and dogs most of our lives although currently there is no animal living inside the house now. My wife and I like to study animal behavior and I believe I have a special way with animals, especially cats. We even have a feral cat who we feed and lives on the porch most of the time. He even sleeps in a heated bed during the winter!

Larry took care of my two cats - separated because one is just here from the shelter and the two cats haven’t met yet - and did a great job. My older cat stopped eating (which he does sometimes when I leave) and Larry not only let me know immediately, but went out and bought him something tempting to eat. And, when I got home I saw that Larry had also brought my second cat a gift - a scratching board (he doesn’t seem to like the scratching post). Larry was also. able to give my older cat his medication in his food, which was key. He seemed to have a real rapport with both of them, which showed up in his photographs - which were fantastic. I recommend Larry highly for cat sitting.
Arthur and Napoleon are excited to see Larry.
Larry cared for our two kitties extremely well over two and half weeks--they were clearly very happy with him. He left the house very clean, too. I highly recommend Larry!

I need to know any special needs they have, how active they need to be, how they like to play, if they get along with other dogs (there are alot of dog walkers in my neighborhood) or maybe even their favorite music! Also you need to supply your pet's favorite food, treats, dog bed, blanket or toys. It makes them feel more at home to have familiar things with their own scent.
A typical day
We have a great neighborhood for walking dogs. There is grammar school nearby with a nice big field where we can play fetch. If your pet is car friendly we can go to Millenium Park in West Roxbury or maybe the Arnold Arboretum! Some dogs need to run and the dog park is a great place for me and your dog to get some exercise!

Availability
Betty is retired and I work mostly from home on the computer and I also do audio engineering on some nights so I would be home most of the time with your pet. Dogs especially can get anxiety when left alone in new surroundings.
