Pet care experience

Hi there, I’m Lauryn—thank you for visiting my profile. I hope you find comfort in my services. I’ve been caring for dogs since the age of 13, including both AKC-registered breeds and non-registered breeds of all sizes and ages. I have a strong understanding of breed standards and hands-on experience in basic behavioral training, I bring knowledge, care, and enthusiasm to every pet I work with. As someone who leads an active lifestyle, I genuinely enjoy daily walks and outdoor time—something your dog and I will both look forward to!

Lauryn was so great with our 3 dogs. She kept me up to date and informed me of everything going on and was especially helpful when one of our dogs had an upset tummy.

Lauryn was the best walker. She was always on time, communicative, and sent the best pictures. It’s nice to go out of town and KNOW your pup is having a good time. We’ve already booked her again to take care of our pup!

I couldn’t be happier with the care Lauryn provided for Bulka and Stalin while I was away. She truly went above and beyond — sending regular updates, photos, and even doing thoughtful little things I didn’t expect. She followed every single detail I left, and it was clear the dogs loved her from the start. It was such a great experience and gave me total peace of mind. I’ll definitely be using her again. Highly recommended!

Lauren has been walking Bailey for me now for a couple of weeks and I couldn't be happier. She is dependable and I can count on her coming 3 days a week to walk my 4 1/2 year old lab. Bailey seems very happy too!! Thank you Lauren:)

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety is always my top priority. I require all dogs to wear both a harness and collar during walks for added control and security. I do not use retractable leashes, but I’m happy to provide a standard slip lead or clip-on leash if needed. I can also provide waste bags and portable water. I never allow off-leash greetings and will not introduce your dog to unfamiliar dogs without your permission. I'm experienced in working with dogs who use muzzles or prong collars, as long as they are being used correctly and under owner guidance. For long-term care or drop ins, I closely follow dietary needs and treat guidelines you provide. In hot weather (95°F and above), I will only walk dogs wearing protective booties to avoid paw injuries on hot pavement. (Ask me about a good brand I have a few recommendations!)

Information Lauryn H. would like to know about your pet

Please always advise of any behavioral issues your pooch may be facing. I can do my best to accommodate for them. If your dog(s) like to escape please provide instructions for typical precautions you or your family take in order to keep them safe.

A typical day

Each day is customized to meet your dog’s individual needs, energy level, and routine. I focus on keeping both their mind and body active—whether through breed-specific activities like running, fetch, scavenger hunts, or herding-style games. If your pup prefers a slower pace, I’m just as happy to spend time cuddled up on the couch with Animal Planet playing in the background. Your pet’s feeding schedule will be followed exactly as instructed, including any dietary preferences, portion control, or treat restrictions. Potty breaks are offered regularly throughout the day and tailored to your dog’s usual habits. I'm also comfortable working with crate-trained dogs and will ensure crate time is a positive and relaxing experience, not a punishment. I aim to make every pet feel safe, loved, and mentally engaged—whether we’re on an outdoor adventure or enjoying a quiet day indoors.

Availability

I have flexible and reliable availability!!! As both an early riser and a night owl, I’m able to accommodate morning and evening care and the occasional mid-day check ups! Outside of work, I’m preparing to return to college and spend much of my free time outdoors—either studying, hiking, or running with my own dog. I’m currently training for my first marathon, so I especially enjoy caring for high-energy dogs who love to run and stay active.
