Hi, I have been around dogs, and cats since I was young, and have never really been afraid of dogs. We had a Doberman but he passed away in August of 2023, he was 9 1/2 years of age, we now have a new dog in which we’ve had now for about 7 months, he was 7/8 months when we got him. He’s a lover, he loves other dogs, and he gets along with my cat, so I’m thinking he’d be alright with cats, but not sure about stray cats, I’m not sure if he knows not to ever hurt one, he loves to play but can be rough sometimes. He’s not to big, about 45 lbs. His name is Brooks, he’s a viasla mixed with Rhodesian Ridgeback, and possible redbone hound. Beautiful boy ☺️. Anyhow, my cats name is Gilbert, he’s a good boy, pretty skiddish of other dogs and people until he gets to know them. About me.. I’m a Mother of 5, and a grandmother of 5. I live in the country, plenty of land for a dog to run and get exercise, we don’t have a fenced in yard, most dogs have stayed in the yard so haven’t had any problems. Our driveway sits back a ways from the road which I find is good as well. I’m happy to watch your fur babies, they’ll be loved and probably spoiled over here, 🥰. But I want them to feel comfortable and safe, and loved.
