There has never been a time in my life that I have not had a dog. At one time, my husband and I owned 3 golden retrievers. We currently have a 10.5 year old golden and a 1.5 year old Australian Shepard. We recently retired and live in a quiet community, have a fenced in (and locked) yard, pool (if dogs like to swim, they are allowed to with supervision) and take our dogs on walks twice per day. The dogs also have outdoor play, supervised at all times. Having recently retired, we look forward to caring for and loving your dogs the way we do our own.

Laurie Morat is the best friend to all dogs. She has rescued and fostered dogs needing better homes and second chances as long as I have known her (20+years). She is gentle, knowledgeable and kind and can handle large strong dogs as well as small dogs as well.

Our yard is fenced and gates have locks. Dogs are supervised outside in the back yard at all times. They are walked on leashes twice/day in our neighborhood, which is dog friendly. If your dogs are socialized, they can be taken to our nearby dog park for some extra fun.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs. As a retired nurse, I am able to administer medications/injections as needed. Walks can be separated if needed so all the dogs don't go at the same time. Dog park visits can be accommodated as well, since we live 1/2 mile from the nearest gated/fenced/off leash park in Miami Springs.
A typical day
My dogs love their early morning walks. Typically, the dogs go out back to do their business, then get ready for the morning walk. After the walk, they will get water and when they are rested, breakfast is served. Typically, they are quiet for most of the day, staying indoors in the A/C while it's hot out. If they want/need to go out during the day, it's to the backyard. Swimming is an option. In the evenings, they are fed dinner, then a nightly walk to do their business. They typically go outside before bedtime and get a treat at that time. Personalized schedules can be accommodated as needed for your dog to closely resemble their home schedule.

I have wanted to dog sit for some time now, but never felt right about it while I worked outside the home. Now recently retired, I look forward to having other dogs to socialize with my own!
