Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 10 years old and our family got our first dog, Chipper. He was a black lab mix and I helped my parents take care of him. We took turns taking him on walks, feeding him and loved playing with him and snuggling. I’ve dog sat and walked for family, friends and co workers over the years, especially in the summertime while people go on vacation. My parents got a King Charles Spaniel puppy after Chipper past away and some time went by. I helped raise and train him when he was a puppy. Whenever I go home, I love to spend time with Max and take him on walks - shorter ones though because he's more of small/medium sized dog ! My co-worker has a pit bull mix she got during the pandemic and he comes into the office almost daily. I occasionally take him on walks around the office and have dog sat for her as well. Personally, I have two cats at home with my boyfriend, which we love and care for at home. My phone is filled with photos and videos of them doing the cutest and silliest things. Additionally, I have experience caring for friend's kitties, checking in on the cats and cat sitting.

We really appreciated Lauren’s photos and updates while we were away. Our cat Gordo took to her right away and our super timid dog was hanging out in the same room with her by the end of her stay. Communication was great. We will definitely check her availability first when we plan our next trip.
Lauren was fantastic! She was very communicative during our time away which made us feel confident that our dogs were getting good care. She helped out with watching the house as well as the dogs, taking the trash out, etc. Our dogs clearly loved her!!
Lauren did an incredible job checking on our cat, Chester. We were so glad she was available over the holiday, and would recommend her! She sent us several pictures every day we were away and made sure he was eating both his kibble and wet food.
Very thankful we hired Lauren to take care of our two Labrador Retrievers during a weekend we needed multiple walks and feeding. Communication was perfect from the initial meet and greet and throughout her services. Our pups loved Lauren and we loved her punctuality, updates on walks with pictures, and overall how stress free she made this. Easily would hire Lauren again and highly recommend her to other pet parents!

If you need someone to check on your cats I can swing by and feed them, make sure they have clean water and scoop their litter. I can even pet them or play with them as well. I can do the same if you have a dog, but obviously let them outside to go to the bathroom or take them on a walk.

Let me know if your dogs or cats have any special needs or medications. I have administered medication in pill pocket treats to both dogs and cats and feel comfortable doing so. I did take care of a friend's aging dog, Penny. She had a special diet of sweet potato or pumpkin and chicken.
A typical day
I will play catch with dogs (and cats- my cat Ripley fetches sometimes!) Like I said above, I enjoy walks myself, so taking dogs on walks is fun for me. They can explore new areas of the neighborhood. If the grooming items are near the pet today, I can also brush your cats or dogs. Sunday are 'spa' days for my personal self care, and for my kitties at my house :)

Availability
I work full time as an architectural designer but I enjoy taking walks in the mornings, evenings and breaks at lunchtime. I also love dogs and thought why don’t I walk some dogs on these walks I already do - plus I actually plan to get one in 2025 so this is great practice. I typically have availability on the weekends unless I have plans in advance.
