Safety, trust & environment
For safety and comfort, I provide care in my clients’ homes only, as I do not offer boarding in my own home due to having two dogs. I also offer drop in visits. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions closely and make sure pets are always supervised and given plenty of attention, exercise, and affection based on their needs and personality. I also prioritize safety at all times by keeping doors secured, monitoring pets during outdoor time, and being attentive to any behavior changes or special care requirements. My goal is to create a calm, trustworthy environment where pets feel relaxed and cared for in their own familiar space. My pets are my babies and I will treat yours the same!
Information Lauren M. would like to know about your pet
To help me provide the best care possible, please let me know your pet's usual routine and any important information, including: - Feeding schedule (times, amount, and any special instructions) - Any behavioral concerns or reactive behaviors I should be aware of - Anything I should be extra careful about (for example: keeping shoes put away, closing certain doors or gates, things that must stay out of reach, etc.) - If you have a fenced yard, whether you pick up pet waste and where you would like me to dispose of it - Whether your pet is crated when left alone or overnight - Any medications, supplements, or special care instructions, including the easiest way to administer them - What cleaning products you would like me to use if there are any accidents in the house - Emergency contact information and your preferred veterinarian - Your pet's favorite toys, treats, and activities - Any commands or routines your pet already knows that help them feel comfortable - Any house instructions you'd like me to know (alarm system, Wi-Fi, trash day, thermostat, plant care, mail/packages, etc.) The more information you can provide, the better I can keep your pet comfortable by maintaining their normal routine while you're away!
A typical day
I love snuffle mats, walks, and playing outside! I am careful with the weather, checking pavement temperatures before walks in the summer and signs of overheating.

Pet care experience
What sets me apart is my hands on experience with pets in all stages of life and with a variety of care needs. I've raised two puppies of my own, so I'm comfortable with puppy routines, potty training, crate training, and all the energy that comes with young dogs. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, including administering medications and following special care instructions to keep them comfortable and healthy. In addition, I've cared for a paralyzed dog who required bladder expression and extra assistance with mobility, which taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and compassionate care. While most of my pet-sitting experience has been with dogs, I also grew up with cats and have cared for cats throughout my life. I'm comfortable with feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, and respecting each cat's unique personality and routine. The only reason I don't currently have a cat of my own is because my husband is allergic! Whether your pet is a playful puppy, a senior needing extra support, an independent cat, or anywhere in between, I treat every animal as if they were my own and strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away.
Reviews

Lauren was AMAZING!! One of my dogs can be a little timid with new people and she barked for maybe 10 seconds which was so insane to me. Her communication was amazing, the dogs absolutely loved her and she even made me ornaments with my pups paw prints on them!! 10/10 will be using her anytime my pups need a sitter!🤍
I always feel safe leaving my babies with Lauren! She cares for my pets like they're her own. She is prompt, communicative and makes sure to follow any special directions. Also can attest that Lauren is always respectful of my space.
Lauren has been the best to my girl, Luna!! Luna is an anxious pup, and Lauren has always taken the time to ease Luna’s anxieties while I’m away at work. Lauren connects with Luna upon arrival, takes her on walks and to the bathroom, offers love and snuggles, and always makes sure Luna has fresh food and water. I couldn’t be happier with the care Lauren offers!!
