Safety, trust & environment
I am very careful to keep walks relatively close in case the dog tires early, particularly for older dogs, and I like to keep their care consistent with what the owners usually do so the dog is always in their comfort zone.

Information Lauren G. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know any interesting behaviour or routines they have, like if they prefer a leisurely stroll or a brisker pace. Do they like to meet other dogs and people or should I ensure they have their space when approaching others? Also very important is any medical information, even if it doesn’t normally impact their daily life. I have worked a lot with dogs that are older or have medical needs that can impact their breathing, so I know it’s important to be aware of how far they normally go on walks and how often, so I can keep their routine consistent with your habits.
A typical day
I really like to have fun with your dog, take walks to get some energy out or find little games that they like, or even try some tricks if they seem to have a knack for something. I love a good park that they can explore and always has new smells. I normally stay pretty close to the house so we can easily get home if they get tired. I also like just sitting in the backyard if you have one, letting the dog explore their own environment and relax in the fresh air. If they have a favourite hiking spot, I’d love to take them on a short hike as well.

Pets are family
Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, both my own and professionally. I have also fostered rescue dogs for over a year, I particularly like working with special-needs rescue dogs, so I have plenty of experience with walking, feeding, and training a variety of dogs (even ones with special diets or medicine). I have owned large dogs throughout my life so I am particularly fond of big dogs but I’ve also worked with some stranger-wary chihuahuas that have become like family, so all dog sizes are welcome!
Cat care experience

Lauren also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Took great care of my dog! I got plenty of updates about him, and she followed all the instructions I left.

Super reliable, considerate and helpful in a pinch. Very grateful for Lauren.

Reliable and good with my pup

Lauren was great! She was great company for my senior dog. I would absolutely have her drop in again!
