Pet care experience
I've had pets of my own since I was kid, about 20 or so years now - dogs, cats, rabbits and the tiny little guys like hamsters and gerbils. Neighbors and friends always called on me to walk and watch their pets, for quick drop-in visits and extended stays. Depending on the type of energy-level and personality, I've taken dogs to fenced in dog parks to play around, small hikes where they stay leashed but get a change of scenery, walks around the block or just hang around the house. I've even given adventurous pups a bath after playing outside so they're fresh and clean for their owner! I want to make the dog happy and comfortable in whatever environment the owner feels best about. If there are any specific commands and preferences, please let me know and I will continue that training! I just signed up for Rover and am excited to start walking and watching your dog!

Lara was a phenomal dog Walker for our working dog, Mooose. He is a samoyed aged 5 and she has walked him many times over the years and understands how to utilize commands and when to use treats. She easily handle any dog big or small!

I currently have a 2-year old Australian Shepherd who loves people and other dogs. If I’m watching your dog for the day or extended stays, they must get along with other dogs. I do have a crate for my pup to stay-in along with a baby gate for separation, if needed. I don’t have a backyard but do love the outdoors - if you’d like your dog to go to a park or experience some trails, let me know and I’ll make it happen! If your dog doesn’t get along with others and all you need is walking, you can rest assured I won’t bring them in contact with my dog and will limit any other time with dogs who might be around outside.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I should be aware of along with any specific training. For instance, I allow my dog on future but if you prefer your dog stays off the furniture - I will honor that. Or if your dog tends to pull when walking, let me know if there’s a command you’d like me to use so training doesn’t get derailed.
A typical day
Depending on personality and energy levels, I will play with them in different ways to get them physically and mentally stimulated. We’ll play games, like fetch, chase or with any toys you’d like the dog to interact with. We can check out all the sights the city has to offer or trails/parks nearby.

I currently work full-time remotely with a very flexible schedule - providing plenty of time to spare for your pup! I’m available for dog walking, daycare and boarding, Monday thru Sunday.
