Pet care experience
I've handled many kinds of Dogs in my life. My mom had a Dog Grooming Shop where I would bathe, brush and handle dogs after school. We always had dogs when I was growing up. I had my first dog in the 70's and I've owned 3, 2 Chows and a Dobie mix. Rover clients, Nextdoor clients, friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pooches for years. Right now I don't have a dog. My daily rate is $35 for each dog. (2 day stay minimum) I will sit up to 2 dogs at same time as long as they are from the same client. I don't take in any other dogs while I have yours. I enjoy playing with dogs. I offer a fun, safe atmosphere, and clean home. I have a large fenced yard for them to play in and get their exercise. For about 30 years I've taken in my friend's dogs, while they were away, without any issues. I also get clients from a separate site, and I have my own Dog Boarding business. I am a Prescott native; living !/2 mile from downtown. Sometimes I walk them down the creek to the square. I really enjoy dogs'

For some reason, I was not made aware until the day I dropped my dog off at Lance's that he was not going to take her on walks because he had bad knees. My dog is used to walking and hiking over ten miles. But it was too late to find a different boarder. Furthermore, I had left a detailed note in my dog's care bag, with instructions on what to feed her and when, among other things, but it is obvious to me that he did not read my instructions, because he did not give her what I intended for her breakfast. He sent me a couple of photos of my dog every day, and it soon became obvious that he was sending some of the same photos after a few days. Besides that she was never active or playing on the photos. So I think he probably did the "minimum required" of feeding her and giving her shelter while I was gone for 3 weeks, but I really doubt that she had a great time. Sorry, no tip. And I will not ask for Lance in the future. Not unless my dog is very old and unable to move...
Not a good experience. Lance needs old tired dogs who nap. Our two were too much for him. Our little girl came home with a swollen eye full of sharp grass probably shot in there by a weedwacker. He was apposed to crating them at night so they marked his home. When we picked them up we got no real report except she has a swollen eye. We didn’t even know if he fed them dinner. I tried to text questions later, no response. I gave him a 50. Tip which I should have given to the vet that has to see her today. Not a good fit for us. But hey, they’re not dead.

My large fenced yard is well maintained and safe for them to run around and play in. They will be inside or hanging out on the secure front deck where they can people - watch walking up and down the street, or run around the yard. I play with them, show them love, and make sure that they have a pleasant stay, and are fed and have water.

Please bring clean dogs/recently bathed because I allow them on my furniture and everywhere in my house. Thank you.
A typical day
We play tug of war and fetch, Hang out at the house, play in the back yard, and Lots of petting, squirrel and lizard chasing, and relaxation. I let them out every couple hours. sometimes I take certain dogs to a trail in the forest and walk around with them where there are no other people or other dogs.
