Can't beat a dog's company! 😘😘
I've had dogs in my life since I was born and over the last 20 years have rescued many. From pups to gorgeous oldies, the oldest we rescued was 17. All different sizes and breeds. Dogs are just a magnet to me when I see them, I love them all! I hadn't had a dog since 2023 as I just didn't think I could go through the heartbreak of losing another, after my last lab - they really are part of the family x However, in March, an elderly neighbour had to go into assisted living and couldn't take his beloved dog, so we took on Pixie! Pixie made me realise how much I have been missing out and we love her - such a gentle soul. Pixie is 11 and absolutely guttingly has cancer (and I feel dementia), so she sleeps most of the time, but is in no pain and loves to be with us. The reason for me deciding to become a dogsitter is because Pixie seems to love the company of other dogs and I thought it might be nice for her (and of course me!). Pixie would not want a dog who jumped all over her - but I think it would be lovely for us both!

Laine is so kind and caring. I absolutely trust her with our dog, Bruno. She treats him as her own and he gets thoroughly spoilt. It is like home from home for your dog. And Bruno loves her.
Laine will make a great dog sitter for many reasons. She is caring, reliable, professional and wonderful with dogs, having had many dogs of her own over the years and her generosity of spirit has led to her taking on and caring for many dogs where their owners have sadly passed away. She has a wonderful way with animals of all types and she is looking after our little shiipoo this week, so I believe that's the ultimate reference, entrusting her with our beloved Lulu!
Lain’e would be a wonderful and caring pet caregiver. She has always had an enormous love for her own pets and also looked after my own where they have had so much attention and care during the times she has looked after them. Any pet would be lucky to be looked after by Lain’e when unable to be cared for by their owners. They would be so well cared for and looked after with lots of fuss and attention.
Laine has had all sorts of pets for many years and has cared for dogs of all ages and breeds giving them a loving home for a few days, weeks, months, years and life. Her dogs are given the best life in a rural setting and want for nothing and are given the best care and attention you could hope for. I have no hesitation recommending Laine to you

Schedule
I work from home and have an office in the garden - so we can keep each other company! As well as the fenced garden, we also have 3 acres. We decided to downsize and live in a small but lovely lodge - cosy!!

Safety, trust & environment
Your baby will be well looked after and I can follow any rules you have, medications needed, etc. They are quite welcome to share the sofa and bed with us (if that is what they are used to), as long as we can fit on too!! It is hard to leave your dog, I know - I've been upset to leave mine that needed it, at the groomers even! I would really want you to come and check us out first and get to know me & Pixie!
Pets
A typical day
Pixie can no longer do the walks and I just couldn't leave her, but we have a lovely garden for exercise and if on holiday - my husband could stay with Pix while I do the walks.

- Let me know anything you think is important to understand or know about your dog. Our grandchildren are with us every Wednesday - they are used to dogs, they have a frenchie - but would need a dog good with children. We do have visiting deer, hares, pheasants, etc in our big garden (not the fenced garden) - so would need to know if your dog would want to chase them!
