I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I will only accept bookings when I can dedicate the time and attention needed for proper care. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, regular walks, and playtime based on each dog’s needs. Dogs will rarely be left alone, and if so, it will only be for short periods of time. Whenever possible, I will bring dogs along to dog friendly outings so they remain engaged and comfortable.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a spacious one bedroom apartment with a separate play area, creating a comfortable and secure environment for dogs. I will focus on maintaining a clean, calm space where dogs can move freely and relax. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and bed if they choose, so they can feel as at home as possible. There will only ever be my dog, Hendrix, and one visiting dog in the space, which helps maintain a peaceful and controlled environment. I will focus on creating a setting where dogs feel safe, comfortable, and able to settle in naturally.

Information Kyla W. would like to know about your pet

Before booking, I like to understand your dog’s routine, temperament, and any specific needs so I can provide the best possible care. Please let me know: 1. How your dog behaves around other dogs, especially in a home setting 2. Energy level and typical daily routine 3. Any separation anxiety or behaviors when left alone 4. Feeding schedule and any dietary restrictions 5. Any medical needs or medications 6. House training status and any habits I should be aware of Because I have my own dog, it’s important that visiting dogs are friendly, well-behaved, and comfortable being around another dog in a home environment. I want to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone and that your dog feels safe, comfortable, and at ease during their stay.

A typical day

A typical day will consist of plenty of affection based on your dog’s comfort level, along with a mix of short and longer walks. Dogs will have a built-in playmate in Hendrix, who is friendly, social, and loves to engage. For dogs who enjoy it, there will also be playtime like catch, which Hendrix especially loves. The goal is to create a balanced day of activity, companionship, and relaxation based on each dog’s needs.

Pet care experience

I grew up around dogs and have always been hands-on with their care, routines, and behavior. While I’m new to offering dog sitting on Rover, I’ve created a very intentional home environment for my own dog, Hendrix, who is well-socialized, attentive, and used to a high level of care. What sets me apart is that I only host one visiting dog at a time (siblings are welcome). Your dog will never be part of a group or rotating schedule. It will always be just Hendrix and your dog, allowing for a calm, controlled, and highly attentive environment. I focus on quality over quantity. Dogs in my care receive personalized attention, consistent routines, and a home experience where they are free to relax, play, and feel comfortable. This setup is ideal for dogs who are used to attention, do well in a home setting, and benefit from a more one-on-one approach rather than a crowded boarding environment.

Our dog Leo had an amazing time with Kyla and Hendrix. He’s high energy and tends to be a little nervous staying with new people, but Kyla took him out on a hike and played with him which kept him busy and made him comfortable. He came home tired and so happy. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for great dog care!
