Local teacher on summer break!
(Edit: obviously summer vacation is over but I decided I wanted to work with dogs all year long! Can you blame me?!) The only stressful part of going on vacation is finding a dependable person to take care your pets…. well, I’m here to be that person! I’m a local high school science teacher and have the entire summer off, and I’m looking for a fun hobby *and* a part-time job- and this opportunity checks both boxes! I’ve had dogs and cats all my long life!! My wonderful dog Gus recently passed away (but he lived a good 12 year life) so my only current pet is a sweet cat named Shortyhops (one of my sons wanted to name her Shorty, the other wanted to make her Hops, so I had to make a daddy decision!) I like to wake up early and I have plenty of time to walk your dog for as long as you want him or her to be walked!

We try to book with Kurt when we can. I can tell my pup loves him and Kurt definitely loves dogs as his own. The recent time I dropped my pup off, he ran right on in with Kurt not even looking back to say goodbye to me, lol! They get in tons of walks and Kurt handles my leash reactive dog well. He is also the best at sending loads of pictures and I love seeing my dog make new friends there too.
Kurt took great care of our cats & was very good at communicating with us. Highly recommended!
The reviews didn't lie, he truly is the best. He kept us updated throughout their stay with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dogs had an absolute blast and came home happy and well cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better boarding experience. Highly recommend!

Kurt was excellent! He was very friendly, had great communication, sent lots of pictures and updates, and was very flexible with drop off/pick up times. Norman got lots of attention and cuddles. I will definitely be booking with Kurt again. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
Kurt was amazing and took great care of Duffy! He sent daily updates and was super responsive. He also accommodated to Duffy’s needs perfectly! Duffy came home absolutely exhausted and content! Would highly recommend Kurt!

Schedule
As I’ve mentioned, during the summer I’m wide open to host your dog or visit your house just about 24/7. Just let me know how much time you’d want me to spend with your pet (so you can feel relaxed on your vacation!) and I’ll be there!

In addition to my large yard, I live across the street from Heritage Park and the Gateway Trail (that leads up into the Poverty Creek trail system) is adjacent to my house.. meaning I’m surrounded by trails to keep your energetic pal happy! Also, I have my 10 year old Gus, who’s relaxed and friendly, to play along with!

A typical day
I have a nice yard for dogs to romp around and plenty of trails around to walk! And being older than the college kids in town perhaps means I’d be home with your pet more often ?
