Leaving your loved ones that cannot talk and describe their experience is scary sometimes. You want to be able to trust that they are in good hands with someone who will abide by your training, rules, and care as well as someone who will love them, show them as much attention as possible (especially important since their Person is away), and pay attention to their cues. I have been around cats and dogs my entire life, and love them more than most of the human race if we are being honest. I take pride in making new cat and dog friends wherever I go, and I can't wait to become friends with your best friend! While I love dogs and will enjoy caring for and playing with them, I am particularly drawn to cats. I have experience with both (but yes, primarily cats) since early childhood, and know how to read their body language and gradually warm up to them and build their trust. I truly enjoy the play and attention aspect that is needed when pet caregiving, and while no one enjoys cleaning a litter box or being a pooper scooper, it's something that is worth the reward of their company.
