I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up spending all my free time at my grandparents farm - playing with chickens, taking care of ducks, watching storks, relaxing with cows in the sun or just snuggling with cats and dogs. My love for animals is unmeasurable, and my husband often makes fun of me that I love animals more than people. I the past I had a pet guinea pigs that I was taking care of, as well as our family dog Daisy, that unfortunately passed away last year due to her age. During my time at university I fostered a few dogs and have experience in working with “harder” breeds like pit bulls. Currently I have two Yin Yang cats - Nori (black) and Barbell (white). Nori moved with me to the USA over two years ago, and Barbell is her American sister that I adopted from a shelter. They have two completely different personalities, but that allowed me to learn so much more about cats and their needs. Shortly after moving to the states I volunteered at VHS as a foster family to all the kitties that needed help. In total I fostered over 50+ cats and kittens that ALL got adopted into loving families (yay!). Fostering gave me experience with weighing kittens, medicines, socializing and training, and obviously all the cuddles and house full of little kittens running around, living their best lives. I also worked with difficult, abused, anti-social cats, and I’m very proud to say that all the hard work paid off, and they completely changed to different cats.
