Ever since I was a kid, I have loved dogs. My first game for my Nintendo Ds was Nintendogs. I’d spend countless hours giving my virtual pups belly rubs, walks, baths, and practicing obedience and agility. Amongst a long list of cartoons that no longer air on television, I loved watching Dogs 101 so much I thought I knew every breed known to man (at age 11). I also loved to watch Animal Cops because in cases of injustice animals cannot speak for themselves. These heroes would save animals from cruel situations and give them a new “leash” on life. All of this, of course, has translated to my adult life. I have two fur babies of my own and they are helping me live out my childhood dream. We go for daily walks. We practice tricks with high reward treat training. I taught Nugget, my toy chihuahua, how to climb down the stairs in under 5 minutes; now she’s running down them like she never had that fear. I love spending time with my pups and teaching them new things that I’ve even picked up some grooming skills. Patience and learning that all pups have different personalities has really given me the edge to keep my pups calm during times that may be stressful like during a haircut, when clippers can be loud and leave your pup in unnatural position. Regardless of tasks, everyday is a new adventure with my pups and I’m looking forward to adding your pup(s) to the fun. I currently have open availability, so I have more than enough time to play with your pup. I walk my pups before the sun rises and after sunset to keep them cool from the summer’s heat. If “odd” hours and/or group walks (with two pups) is ideal for you, I’d love to do meet and greet with you and your fur baby. If you, like most of the world, are snoozing at those times, I’m also available between 7am and 7pm so your fur baby can get some one on one time. I have a fenced yard for supervised outdoor play. I have an open concept living room for indoor play if weather conditions are not favorable. My pups are free roamers in the house, but if you and your pup have been practicing crate training, I do have a small crate in my room that comfortably fits pups 20 lbs and under. I have a removable gate at the top of the staircase for any young or senior pup or any pup with difficulties doing the stairs. My room floor is dog toy galore with toys of all shapes, sizes, and functions to suit your pups needs and personality. And last but certainly not least, there is minimal carpeting in my home so if you pup is still potty training, not a problem!
