Pet care experience
Hello! I have been in-home pet-sitting for the past 15 years. I grew up with two family dogs in Fargo, ND. My fiancé and I recently purchased our first home in New Hope. We have two dogs, Quincy and Nina, and a cat, Louis. I have six years of experience as a dog handler/basic trainer through dog-daycare & boarding facilities, and I have also participated in a training course through Hippie Dog. I have experience with special needs dogs, am comfortable administering meds if needed, and will be sure that your dog has all the love and attention it needs! I will send updates and pictures as often as needed. Your dogs deserve the best care, and I look forward to providing it for you! +own transportation +non-smoking
Reviews
Kennedy always shows the utmost care and respect to the pets she is around. She has years of experience with many different breeds and personalities, and her kindness shines always. I would trust her with my life!
Kennedy is the best dog caregiver/owner I have ever met. If you want your dog to be cared for and loved for all while having fun, Kennedy is the lady! In my next life time I would ask to be reincarnated into Kennedy’s dog. Her dogs are not only her pets, but her babies. There isn’t one doubt in my mind on her ability to give dogs the best life possible. Trusting somebody with your life is one thing, but when it comes to your fur baby it’s another. I trust not only my life in Kennedy’s hands, but also my dogs! Choose her and you will NOT be disappointed!
Kennedy is one of the most kind, patient, and responsible people I know. This is most prevalent in the way she loves and cares for animals; both hers and the furry family members of others. Not only are her own pets supremely loved and taken care of, she extends that love and care to my pets, too. My cats aren’t the most outgoing and they have diet/medical needs that require special care. Kennedy has ensured that they receive everything they need when I go out of town and she keeps in touch with me through it all. She truly understands and respects the the special, unique relationships between humans and their animals and does everything she can to ensure pets feel safe, loved, and treasured. Just like I would.
Kennedy has watched my senior cat, Chester. She knows that my kitty is anxious when I am not around and he warmed up to her really fast! She is so gentle with how she speaks to him and she has respected the fact that animals have their own boundaries. Kennedy will make sure to spend time with someones pet rather than just coming over to put out food/water or take care of litter. Plus she sends me pictures of Chester when they're hanging out! Kennedy loves animals more than anyone I know, I can't recommend her enough!

If I am in-home sitting for a client, I will follow directions for what is comfortable for the pet(s) and owner(s) in that specific household. If the pet is staying in my home, they would need to be comfortable around men and dog-friendly. We can keep our cat separated easily if need be. Depending on temperament, they would need to be kenneled during the day while I am at work 8am-4:45pm M-F. We have a partially fenced-in yard, so they would be leashed while out in the yard with us and never left unattended. We are in a very dog-friendly, walkable neighborhood so we'd get out for some leashed walks in the evenings!
Information Kennedy K. would like to know about your pet
-Allergies -History of seizures -Medications -Feeding schedule -Socialization with people -Socialization with other dogs -Best way for your animals to feel comfortable while you're away -Vet/ER vet info
A typical day
I love to bond with animals in whatever way is most comfortable for them. If that means mental stimulation through puzzles and snuffle mats, great! If it means going for walks, playing or snuggling up on the couch, great!

I am currently working full-time, and would need to be able to leave the pets unattended for about 8.5 hours at a time if it is Monday-Friday.
