I start by giving them time to sniff around, explore, and get familiar with the space at their own pace. I keep my home clean, organized, and free of anything unsafe or chew-able so your pup can relax and roam comfortably. I follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible—meal times, walk schedules, crate habits, and any rules you follow at home. I never force interactions or overwhelm them; instead, I focus on building trust through calm energy, gentle communication, and lots of positive reinforcement. Safety is always my priority. I supervise dogs closely, especially during the first day or when they’re in a new environment. Walks are always on-leash, and I pay careful attention to surroundings, other dogs, and traffic. Inside, I make sure they have a cozy spot to rest, access to fresh water, and plenty of breaks for play and potty time.
