Every animal deserves a good cuddle
Pet care experience
I've had several dogs growing up, and I understand that dogs need a lot to stay happy, but many just need some tender, loving care! While I don't currently have a dog, I have a cat that is special needs, so I can administer medication using pills, syringes, and in food. I will NEVER give a dog "people food" unless the owner has said it's ok! Whenever I house sit, I will walk, feed, play with, and mostly cuddle the pet I am caring for. I will stay in contact with you and send update images as well! I also react well to accidents, such as cleaning up after a pet has done business in the house, giving the dog a bath, calling if there's a health issue, and rushing them to the vet. I will also clean up after myself, do basic chores, and water and plants that need it (I am disabled from a neck injury, so keep in mind I can't do certain things-- feel free to ask!) I have a single motto: leave the place cleaner than you found it, and leave the pets wishing you'd come back!

Reviews

Kayla was very communicative. She sent lots of updates and photos of Joy and Noel. She left our house in perfect condition and even watered our plants! We felt 100% confident in having her take care of our fur girls and they have requested that we have her back again in the future.
My dog, Charli doesn't like anyone, the moment Kayla walked into my home to meet him, one second was all it took. My Charli was sitting on her lap the entire visit and got sad when she left. This was totally out of character for him. I knew I would be leaving my dog and my home in the best hands!
I can’t recommend Kayla highly enough for anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter. Kayla has a natural connection with animals—her calm and kind presence immediately puts pets at ease. She has looked after a variety of pets with love and attention, always making sure they are safe, well-fed, and given plenty of playtime and affection. Kayla is not only dependable and trustworthy, but she also goes the extra mile to ensure that each pet’s unique needs are met. Whether it's administering medication, maintaining feeding schedules, or just giving extra cuddles, she treats every animal like they’re her own. If you're looking for someone who will truly care for your pets and give you peace of mind while you're away, Kayla is the one you can count on.

I have had both cats and dogs my whole life, and currently have a cat. We adopted her as a kitten, and she was diagnosed with Manx syndrome shortly after, so for her nine years of life she has been on medication daily. I brush her every night to avoid lumps in her fur, and she gets to go out on walks in our yard. My grandma and I love her more than anything and spoil her as much as possible! As for watching pets, I've watched several dogs for family, family friends, or friends of my own. I've watched needy dogs, senior dogs, small dogs, large dogs, dogs of all sizes and volumes! I've also had dogs of my own, and I'm used to walking them, feeding them, playing with them, and (most important of all) cuddling with them.
Information Kayla T. would like to know about your pet
I usually prefer to know if the pet has any special needs or need intensive care, how many there are in the home, and if they have issues with each other. Otherwise, I will ask everything needed when I'm hired/when I arrive!
A typical day
My favorite places to take dogs are expansive parks nearby, and often times I'll play catch with them. My favorite games with puppies are wrestling, tug-of-war, hide and seek, and with small dogs I'll usually play more rough (when they bite, they hurt a lot less). Mainly, I enjoy taking dogs for a walk, getting fresh air and getting in some cardio myself. As for cats, my current cat is leash trained, so I take her for supervised "walks" outside. My cat and I usually play with a fishing pole toy, through a sheet/blanket, or just by throwing toys for her.

Availability
I am currently dealing with chronic pain due to a neck injury and trying to apply for disability, so my schedule is completely open most days. I am available 24/7, and am able to dedicate several days to watching pets. The only thing is that I may have to go see a doctor while sitting, but I will be open about any appointments I have!
