Hi! My name is Kayla and I have been a cat lover since I’m old enough to say the word cat. I currently work as a vet nurse at a clinic that partners with rescues so I have experience with all ages, health statuses, personalities (Fear Free certified), etc. I am comfortable around elderly/ill cats. I can administer medications, recognize potential indicators or symptoms, arrange transportation to preferred vet if necessary, get in playtime, and just go with their vibe. They want me to sit on the floor and talk to them while they stare at me for an hour? Ok. Just leave the food and get out of their house asap? Off I go! Personally, I recently lost my own 15 year old boy who suffered from heart and kidney disease. He was my whole heart so cats with similar conditions have a special place in mine. I now have street senior that was brought to me by chance and I named him Chance :)
