Special Care
Pet care experience
We will care for mature and/or senior dogs with predictably good temperaments. We have a generally relaxed environment on a hobby farm in Corcoran, just outside of Maple Grove. Your dog(s) will have outdoor walks (as able) on a long loose leash or walking with us off leash in an outdoor enclosure. It is fun to explore and maybe even scare up a pheasant, rabbit or cat!
Reviews

We had the most positive experience leaving our dog for a week in the care of Kay and her family. Their home provided Tilly with all the stimulation, exercise, attention and, above all, love that she could need. Plenty of updates, anecdotes and photos kept us worry-free, knowing she was in such a blessed place. We hope to bring Tilly to see Kay again, when the opportunity arises.

Kay and her family were so attentive to our pup. We appreciated the photos, videos and thorough updates. We felt comfortable leaving our girl there and she was very well cared for. We will definitely book with her in the future.

Cooper had a great time with Kay and the whole family. I really appreciated the pictures and videos. Cooper is a lap dog and there were lots of laps and extra beds where he could be comfortable in the middle of family life. We were a bit early picking up Cooper and she made sure he had play time in the dog run before being put into a car for hours. I highly recommend this family to care for your dogs.

As usual, Kay and her family were great with our dog, communicated well, and made us feel comfortable leaving our dog with them while we were away.

Safety, trust & environment
We have personally included several dogs in our lives individually over the past 40 some years. Now we do not have our own dog, but we care for visiting dogs, generally one at a time (unless from the same household); they get a great deal of our attention during their time with us. The visitor explores the home. They seem to find their own different favorite spots. One dog may choose to spend quiet time in one of our sons' rooms. Another may prefer the corner of the dining room for relaxing in the sunshine. Still another chooses a dog bed by the front entry where he can keep an eye on the comings and goings of family members. Thr most frequented room is the centrally located TV room, where a family member sleeps to keep the visiting dog accompanied all night. Those dogs who are used to being on furniture often choose a recliner there for resting. Dogs seem to have found our home to be a fun and interesting place to fairly freely roam.

Information Kay E. would like to know about your pet
We will need dogs that we take care of to be well mannered, not overly anxious and generally quiet. Our young adult sons who live at home with us are great guys who have various disabilities, intellectually and physically. They are accustomed to animals. Kay and Rick take responsibility for taking your dog outdoors. Connecting with and caring for your dog will be a meaningful experience for our family. My husband and I share an enduring fondness for animals and cannot imagine a home without the friendship and personalities of past and present pets. That said, we need to feel assured that your pet feels the same way about us and can be trusted to sense and respect boundaries.
A typical day
We will exercise them outdoors as they desire and as they are able, weather permitting, At times we will just hang out indoors. We are happy to groom them, even bathe if we are asked. More importantly, we will reassure them and by our actions aim to help them feel safe and learn what is expected so they can be content.
