I need to know your pet's age and energy level, any special needs or requests; for dogs, I need to know how they behave on walks - do they pull, are they aggressive toward other dogs, etc.
A typical day
For dogs: Walking in parks and neighborhoods, playing catch, jogging, and more! I usually take a camera with me to capture street photos while I meander, and I'll be sure to take plenty of photos of your doggo. For cats: Playing with toys, plenty of petting and cuddling if they'll allow it!

Hi, I'm Katie :) I've been doing Rover on and off since 2019; I grew up with cats, dogs, lizards, birds, guinea pigs, turtles, a bat - you name it. I've been caring for pets since childhood, and I take pride in being responsible, compassionate, and attentive. When I'm not on Rover I work as a writer, editor, and photographer. I have degrees in linguistics and political science and a background in journalism. I love to read and write, watch and make films, and cook. I'm a big nature-lover and will take any excuse to go camping or hiking. I live an active lifestyle, and love to walk and exercise - even better if an animal accompanies me!

Katie has watched after my two cats for overnight stays twice now on short notice and has been absolutely wonderful with them. She is responsive, leaves the place as she found it, and the cats seem content and well cared for when I return. She also sends photos where it’s very clear everyone is enjoying themselves - I’m so glad I found a reliable sitter in the neighborhood!
Katie house sat and watched my two dogs over New Year’s Eve. She was easy to communicate with and my dogs loved her. Would definitely book again.
Katie took wonderful care of my 7 week old kitten and 4 year old cat while I was away. She was incredibly responsive and my cats seemed very happy when I returned, I would absolutely hire her to care for them again.
