Dog's Best Friend and Caregiver

I've had dogs in my life since I was 7. Two pug sisters named Maggie and Ginger. I adopted my first dog, a 5-year-old boxer named Lucy. She was special needs, experiencing a myriad of health issues including cardiomyopathy, food allergies, and incontinence. I worked with her to create a life of joy and comfort. My goal was for her ailments to be the furthest thing from her mind. We did nose training together, played hide n seek in the house because long walks winded her, and she became a certified therapy dog because bringing people comfort energized her! Lucy was an accomplished dog, never hindered by her sickness. After she passed, and after my mourning period (she was my soul-dog, after all) I began volunteering at local shelters. I've done 1000s of walks, enrichment training, and would bring dogs out on outings and events to help get them adopted. Now, I would love to help you with your dog(s), whether that's checking in, walking, or just hanging out. I treat dogs like family because they are.

Dog Walking • Mar 01, 2026

Katie is amazing! It’s my first time using rover and getting someone to help with my dog. I work long shifts and having someone reliable to take my pet on a walk was reassuring and such a relief. He loves her so much. She was such a great dog walker. If my family goes on vacation or we need a dog walker again, she will be the one we choose.

Katie is wonderful ! I could see that our dog loved her immediately when Katie came for a meet and greet. We received great photos and updates and had a worry free time knowing Reina was in such good hands. Thank you, Katie ❤️🐕

We were in need of a dog walker for a recurring midday time slot and are very happy with Katie so far! She was quick to reply to my initial request and we had a great meet and greet before deciding to move forward. Katie is responsive, friendly, and she clearly has a love for dogs in addition to lots of great experience! We really appreciate her consistency, communication, and her summaries and photos from each walk with Poppy. We look forward to many more walks with Katie!

We recently found ourselves needing a new regular dog walker quickly, and we are so glad we found Katie. She has been fantastic since day one. Before the first walk, she took the time to come over for a thorough meet-and-greet with us and our dog, Sunny, which we really appreciated. Katie provides detailed notes after every walk, which always include great photos, giving us peace of mind. Most importantly, our dog Sunny is clearly happy and well-cared for. We highly recommend choosing Katie for your dog walking needs!

Katie was the absolute best dog sitter we have ever had. She was so communicative (sending pics of the dogs while we were out of town and giving up daily updates), responsible, sweet, and trustworthy. I am so lucky to have found someone I trust with my dogs. I cannot recommend Katie enough!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I currently do freelance social media work for local animal rescues, so my schedule is flexible as far as being able to accommodate pet care.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I appreciate a checklist! You provide a checklist or any sort of direction, however brief or long, that will guide my way through what needs to be done. I treat your home like I want mine to be treated, leaving it in the same condition I found it in. I was taught to be clean, respectful, and polite. I will tidy up if necessary, I will stick to whatever you ask of me, and if anything is unclear, I will communicate with you as appropriate. My goal is to build a good relationship with you and your pet(s) to ensure my visits are an easy part of your routine.

Pets

A typical day

What do they like to do? I like to know their preference. Additionally, I find trying hide n seek if they haven't played, or giving nose training a try are two easy play activities in the home to mix things up.

I want to hear from you all about your dog! You know them best, so tell me what their likes and dislikes are. What to do, what not to do. What are their high-value treats, what areas not to touch. As dog lovers, we know dogs can have quirks. I remember there was a shelter dog that you could NOT bring a mop around. One of our dogs growing up HATED balloons. Always good to know who dogs' "villains" are, haha.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
