We make our Rover business a family affair. My husband, Jason, and I share the responsibilities of caring for each of our guest dogs. Between the 2 of us, we have decades of experience caring for dogs. Jason enjoys taking dogs on walks and hikes, and often does work with gentle training when he sees a need (leash training, for example). I am with the dogs most of the day, so I attend to their potty breaks and give them lots of attention. Our kids (ages 4-13) have been taught to be gentle and loving to their own dogs, so they treat our guest dogs the same and enjoy playing with them and petting them. We have a large, fenced backyard providing ample room to run and play. We work to ensure that each dog that stays with us is comfortable, safe, and loved and that all comes pretty naturally for us, because we love dogs!

After our original dog sitter canceled on us two and a half weeks before our family vacation, we were desperate to find a good sitter for our pups at such short notice. We’re so thankful we found Katie, Jason, and their family. They took great care of our pups, had such a big backyard for them to play with, sent pictures and updates nearly everyday and asked great questions to make sure they were taking care of our dogs the way we would in our own home (where do they sleep, can they be up on the couches, etc). Their kids were so wonderful and gave our boys so much love and affection. Our dogs bonded with them for sure. We will definitely use them again for future pet sitting!
Katie and her family were amazing! Our pup got plenty of love and had a great time during her stay. Katie's sending pictures was lovely so we could see how Korra was doing.
Nix seemed to love it here! We were sent lots of pics which was so nice. We also booked pretty last minute it was awesome we were able to be accommodated like that.
We have used Katie multiple times and we will continue to book with her for future trips! She cares so much and is so good with our dog. Her whole family is wonderful and treats our dog like he’s a part of their family! Sometimes our dog doesn’t want to come home with us after being with Katie! 😂. Thank you Katie for treating Albion so well!!

Please let me know if your dog has any special health needs, where they prefer to sleep, and any behaviors I should watch for so that we can have the best experience possible. We also like to make sure your dog is gentle with young children and strangers (our kids often have friends come play). Keep in mind that we do have 3 dogs of our own, so if your dog needs a slow introduction to them, we would like to know that and we are happy to accommodate.
A typical day
My husband enjoys taking our guest dogs on hikes up the nearby Grove Creek Canyon as well as long walks around the neighborhood or around Discovery Park. I love to let the dogs out in our big backyard to run around and play fetch. I also like to spend time with them inside giving them lots of love and petting. We also sometimes take our guest dogs on adventures up Provo Canyon or other mountain areas.

Availability
I am home most of the day every day of the week, so I care for my pets and yours throughout the day for meals, potty breaks, and playtime. My husband, Jason, works primarily at home, so he also cares for the dogs intermittently throughout the day and loves taking guest dogs on walks or hikes in the morning, lunchtime, or evening.
