I pride myself on getting to know and understand the dogs that have had tricky starts and therefore making them nervous, scared or defensive. I am led by your pups and I will adapt to whatever they need. There are no silly requests, as a pet owner my whole life they are your world and anything to make them more comfortable with a new sitter I will do. I have puppy-trained 3 dogs and I have cared and supported the generations of rescue dogs we’ve had as a family, including medication, tough vet visits and everything in between. I have a lot of experience understanding nervous rescues, semi-reactive animals and their needs, and have wonderful regular clients who trust me with their dogs because of this. I had two nervous rescue cats for the last 10 years, who were my world, and when I travelled, I would entrust them to an amazing pet sitter. She understood how important they were to me and she patiently earned their trust, which would always put my mind at rest. Now that, for the first time I am pet free I am very keen to return the favour to similar pet owners. I also volunteer at a local rescue farm that is filled with every farm animal you can imagine, as well as many farm cats and dogs. I am currently studying for my Level 3 Farm Animal studies qualification.

Your pets would be able to use my home like their own, and equally I would fit into your home as seamlessly as possible to ensure your pet(s) feel comfortable. You are welcome to bring anything that would make them feel more at home and I have plenty of space so they can have their own room, or a safe space within the living room. I have a safe, dog-proof garden which is accessible at all times when it's warm enough! I have some dog neighbours and pups who stay with me like to meet them through the fence!

Kate has looked after our two dogs many times. She is lovely with the dogs, and they are always excited to see her. She is always on time, organised and leaves the house as you would hope to find it. I am very happy to recommend her
I have known Kate all her life and have always found her completely trustworthy, reliable and conscientious. She is extremely caring and has years of experience in looking after a wide range of pets and animals whether its her own or other peoples. She has looked after our dogs on numerous occasions and we always know they will be safe and cared for.
Kate is the perfect person as a responsible and loving pet caregiver. She has had a lifelong love of animals, having had several herself. She has recently started volunteering at an animal sanctuary where she has immersed herself in the job. I have received numerous photos and videos of Kate with the various animals, from emus to goats, and everything in between. Her enthusiasm is contagious, as is her concern for their welfare. When Kate visits us, she is down with the dogs, and off to see the chickens. Kate has previously looked after our dogs when we have gone on holiday and is ideally equipped to cope with many eventualities. We will be using her services in May when we head off for the night, and I know that the dogs will be in capable hands.
Kate looked after my two nervous and semi-reactive Schnoodle pups and they had the best time! Lots of ball throwing in the garden, and sniffy walks, and cuddles on the sofa - all their favourite things. Kate was incredibly thoughtful and conscientious, asking all the right questions (including some I hadn’t thought of!) and I felt very confident and happy leaving them for the day. I got lots of pictures and the pups really enjoyed being away from the city and being by fields and in her lovely garden. I would 100% book again!
Kate Wardale is one of the most committed dog sitters I could imagine: she took time to get to know our two dogs, not rushing in to make them uncomfortable. One of ours (Rosie) is super confident and needs to be in touch with her human: Kate was quickly sitting on the floor with her. The other is more suspicious, being a Romanian street dog, rescued as an unweaned pup and then shipped to England at 6 months. Kate took her time with her (Luna) and is now welcomed each time she visits by a lot of excited noises and demands for stroking! Kate followed any requests we have given her, keeps to the home rules (no dogs ups stairs) and looks after the house in our absence. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending her for any animal care. She loves them all.

Schedule
I work from home, so I am extremely flexible and present for your furry friends. If I'm visiting you, I can flex to suit their routine easily. If your dogs are staying with me, I have a good-sized back garden for toilet breaks and live on the edge of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, with walks from the front door if your dog is a little nervous travelling, which are filled with all the smells your dogs would want!
