Pet care experience
I grew up with a cockatiel and various freshwater fish, and once I moved for college (and away from allergic family members) began watching my friends’ cats and dogs. I take pride in my reliability and my communication with my clients, who have found me from local word-of-mouth: I am finally joining Rover after 140+ days of house sitting/drop-ins over the past 2 years. I have experience caring for dogs (age 5 months to 10 years), cats (mostly 13+ years), fish (freshwater), and birds (including chickens).

Kate has watched my two elderly cats many times since June 2023, for both drop-ins and multi-week stays. She always sends pictures and leaves the house clean. We have her come by so often that she has a key to our house!

Kate is an incredibly attentive and caring pet sitter! She provided in house dog sitting while I was away for multiple days, and I was completely at ease knowing that my dog was in great hands. When pet sitting in your home, I do my best to mimic your schedule and behaviors, as your pets’ comfort is my highest priority. For one of my clients, I even get up at 4:30 am to keep to the same breakfast time! For any booking, I will request a thorough meet&greet to discuss your routine and that of your pets.

A typical day
If house sitting, I will do my best to follow YOUR typical schedule to make your pets feel as comfortable as possible. For drop-ins, I will follow the specifics we discuss during meet&greet. Again, my priority is to maintain as much similarity to you as possible.

Availability
I am moving in April 2025 and will update this section once I begin medical school in the summer. I currently work a full-time job during standard weekday hours and a part-time job on the weekend and am booked pretty far out with house sitting for the time being, but could do drop-ins most weekday mornings or evenings, and some weekends. Currently accepting Ithaca-area walks and drop-ins through April, then will update the calendar after I move.
