Unfortunately, Things didn’t go well with this sitter which jeopardized my trip. I planned to drop off my 3 years old lab mix in the morning 730 as I was leaving for a trip right after. When I went to drop off, she didn’t open the front gate (she has fenced front yard). I kept ringing the front bell and kept calling through rover site but no answer. I stayed in front of her house for an hour, contacting rover support line, chat support and keep ringing bell. Rover chat support agent tried calling her but no response. I was super frustrated and disappointed as I was in a chaotic situation. After an hour, Rover support agent refunded my money and send requests to bunch of other sitters to accommodate my dog. None of those sitters available to take my dog. My family and friends (we were going as a big group) changed the whole plan for trip and helped me to find other sitter who can accommodate my dog at last minute. After many calls and 3-4 hours of work, we finally found someone. Meanwhile this sitter texted me back after 3 hours apologizing and saying her toddler was sick at night so she was exhausted and she slept through and hope that I find another sitter. I understand her situation but she hasn’t realized how badly it affected my trip and all hassle I went through. I decided not to use Rover anymore after this incident. We left for our trip after 4-5 hours than planned time. I was glad that it was road trip and I didn’t have to catch a flight or I would have screwed. If you planning to book with her, just confirm a day before and ensure she opens her gate on time.

We've returned multiple times now and haven't ever had a single issue, great communication and always video updates on how our pup is doing through the day and night, much appreciated Karyn!
