Safety, trust & environment
I would prefer to conduct a meet and greet with both you and your animal prior to caring for them in order to establish their trust. I will happily take your dog(s) for 30 minute walks around your neighborhood, and I will pick up after them during walks as well. For in home visits, if I am letting your dog out to potty, I will make sure that it is only within a fenced area that your dog cannot jump, or that your dog is on a leash. I am also a firm advocate for indoor-only cats and I am careful to not let your cats outside when I enter or exit your home. I have experience feeding pets dry food, wet food, prescription diets, and raw food diets, and will be more than happy to keep your pet on their regular meal regiment while you are gone as I understand the importance of an established routine for animals. I am familiar with medicating pets such as giving them eye drops, ear drops, pills, liquid oral medications, and subcutaneous injections. Lastly, I’ll make sure that everyone always has fresh water.
Information Karisma S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog pulls on the leash, or if your pet has triggers (fast movements, other dogs, cats, squirrels, children, etc.) that I should be aware of.
A typical day
Usually, I would like to keep your dog closer to their own neighborhood that they are familiar with. If the owner specifically requests that I bring their dog somewhere else, I am willing to do so. I like to go for slower paced walks so the dogs have plenty of time to sniff everything. For kitties, I know many cats love to play with a variety of toys and this is something I very much enjoy doing.

Pet care experience
Growing up in Port Angeles near the Olympic National Park, I have always had a strong love for animals. I received my Bachelor’s degree in biology and would like to attend veterinary school in the near future. Through internships, volunteering, work experience, and personal experience, I’ve cared for a variety of species including cats, dogs, amphibians, reptiles, beavers, big cats, and wolf-dogs. I have 1.5 years experience working as a cat caregiver at a no-kill nonprofit animal rescue. During my time as a caregiver, I worked with special needs cats, senior cats, and kittens. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant at a local veterinary clinic. I have worked with dogs and cats with a variety of health conditions and temperaments.

Great sitter.

Karisma has sat my dog Monkey a few times now, she is always respectful, tidy, attentive to directions, and Monkey is calm while she's there to keep her company. Monkey has separation anxiety, and Karisma has been nice enough to stay with her as many hours of the day as possible.
Karisma did a wonderful job taking care of my kitty. I would definitely recommend her!

Karisma took wonderful care of over energetic young dog and two cats. We would have her again in a heartbeat
