I have been an animal lover ever since I can remember. I've owned dogs, cats, birds, chinchillas, goldfish, iguanas, even snakes. I am always that person at a party who is playing with the dog instead of the guests, and I'm happy with that :) My entire career has been working with critters of all shapes and sizes. I spent 20 years working as a technician and manager in both private practice, non profit shelters, and most recently in the field of veterinary hospice. I am as technically skilled and knowledgeable as I am gentle and compassionate in addition to being confident with medical emergencies, aggression issues, and animal behavior. And even more incredibly proud that my friends and family trust me enough to look to me for help and advice with the care of their own pets. I am familiar with a vast array of medical conditions including diagnosis, treatments, medications including being competent in home regimens including fluid therapy, injections, oral medications, topical medications, and basic grooming. I am NOT a veterinarian, but am confident in their instructions. Lastly, I know that pets aren't just "things", but cherished family members who deserve only the best. I'd say I'm embarrassed about how spoiled my loveys are, but I'm not, that's what they deserve. And so does every other creature.
