Pet care experience
I've looked after dogs from Yorkshire Terriers to German Shepherds and a whole mixture of cats for many years. These have been from puppies/kittens to the more seniors. Friends and family have entrusted me with their pets and they are always treated as part of the family. I am retired following 18 years in the NHS and now enjoy walking in the countryside or on the beach, theatre, sport and music. I am at home for the majority of the day as I only have pet commitments, which is why I am able to offer this service. I currently have a 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier, a 3 year old cross Shih-tzu/Yorkshire Terrier and a 14 year old rescue cat.

I chose Karen because she had experience with dogs with particular needs. Ceris is blind and so needs patience and extra care and Karen certainly looked after her very well. When I returned home Ceris appeared very happy and, despite eating issues, Karen had got her to eat most meals - a big achievement indeed. Karen sent me photos and a video most days to keep me updated - this was very helpful. I would recommend Karen without hesitation.

My booking with Karen was the first time I had used a dog sitting service which was going to be an experience for my 2 dogs and myself! Karen arrived in good time and was calm and confident and by the time I left to go out for the day my terrier and cocker spaniel were very happy with Karen, as was I, and I left feeling it was going to be a good day. I don't have a preference for certain breeds, pedigree or mixed, all dogs are welcome. They will be treated equally with lots of love and fuss. I try to make it home from home.

I love to stimulate your pets, whether that be playing games, throwing a ball, doing tricks or just a lap to sit on for a fuss or cuddle.

Availability
I have the forest right on my doorstep and enjoy walking with them there. I'm also a very short drive from the beach which is another favourite. If your dog enjoys playing ball or carrying sticks, then rest assured, their needs will be catered for.
