Pet care experience
I've had pets (dogs and/or cats) my whole life and have even fostered dogs, helping find their forever homes. I own my own business and work by appointment only, allowing me to be home a good amount of time. I'm typically only gone a maximum of 4 to 6 hours at a time. I live in a dog-friendly condo in East Village just a 7 minutes walk to the waterfront. I'm here to provide whatever level of activity your dog needs! I have a small cavapoo of my own who will be 2 years old in June 2023. She gets along with all dogs no matter the age or size. I only care for one dog at a time so you can rest easy knowing your dog has my full attention. I always schedule meet and greets to ensure our dogs get along. However there are periodic times where I'm without my dog for 2 months at a time and your dog would be the only one with me. I can't wait to meet your fur baby!

Kara took care of my 9 year old energetic Pomeranian when we visited San Diego for 4 days. I don’t want to keep her in the hotel room for long hours if the day and based on reviews and her Rover profile I thought Kara would be a good match. Kara exceeded both my expectations and (most importantly my Pom’s) expectations. When I dropped my dog off the first day I could see the fear and question in her eyes, wondering where I was going. When I would pick her up after 8-9 hours I could barely pull her away and into my car with me. Apparently I’m no longer her favorite lol. Kara did a great job communicating and responding the entire time-have my dog her medications without hesitancy and used creativity to get her to eat her food. Definitely book Kara if you want a safe, secure, loving enviro for your pet (she also has an adorable small dog who is really friendly and gentle).

I have things like crates and pet gates to section off if your dog needs it. I'm happy to follow any rules that you have for your dog at home. I welcome them on the couch if that's what's allowed or I will keep them off if you want to deter that behavior.

I'm open to provide whatever type of stimulation you're looking for with your dog. I live an active lifestyle and would be happy to walk around the city or even drive to a nearby park. My dog has toys she would love to share! We're huge fans of ball play if that's what your dog is into!

Availability
I own my own business and take clients by appointment only. I recently moved to San Diego from Seattle and am rebuilding my entire clientele leaving me with lots of availble time to spend with your fur baby. When I have clients, I'm typically only gone for 3 to 4 hours at a time. My workspace is dog friendly so if you'd prefer I bring them to my work I can accommodate that as well. I live an active life and would be happy to take your dog on as many walks as they'd like. But also happy to veg out and cuddle if that's what your dog prefers.
