Pet care experience

Your pet will have a fur-cation!

Hi there! My name is Kaitlin. I’ve been around and have had dogs my whole life. Since 2017, I have done pet sitting & dog walking. I love getting outside with my clients dog; playing in the backyard or going on walks, I love it all! I was also a furbaby foster momma and volunteer with Rescue One, which I fostered for just over a year. I really loved taking in the animals that aren’t picked first, loving on them well and helping them find their forever home. I have excellent experience with senior dogs which includes administering medication, caring for multiple blind dogs, as well as dog with high anxiety. I have past experience with special needs dogs as well including those with epilepsy and seizures.

Kaitlin is awesome! She is professional, kind, caring and goes the distance. We couldn’t ask for a better experience for our dog. She kept us informed and texted photos throughout Winnie’s stay, always tuned in to Winnie’s needs. Thank you, Kaitlin!

Kaitlin was great! She responded to our request for a sitter quickly, answered our many questions, and she took excellent care of Remi so we could have a worry-free vacation. She provided daily updates, to include photos and a video, and we very much appreciated her communication. She also went above and beyond to make him comfortable when he didn't want to come out of his shell. She was very kind and patient, and we would absolutely recommend her for anyone looking for a sitter. Thank you, Kaitlin!

Peppa had a wonderful stay with Kaitlin! She sent pictures and updates each day and was very accommodating to her needs. We felt very comfortable leaving Peppa in her care and we will absolutely use Kaitlin for future stays!

Schedule

I stay home with my kiddos so I am home often. My personal dog goes out often and is never home alone more than 4 hours. I am open to both long term set schedules as well as short term “vacation” type schedules.

Safety, trust & environment

Our home is fully fenced. If the weather is nice, we play a lot in the backyard. We love going for walks and being active. But we also love couch snuggles and relaxing. I have a 12 year old daughter who loves to help and loves all animals as well as a two year old. They both understand safety precautions for high stress pets and desires to be a best friend to all fur-babies. My personal dog is a 20ish pound pug. He loves to lay by the window and watch outside. He is the best doggy host and loves having friends over to play. He actually gets sad on the rare occasion that I don’t have a booking.

Pets

A typical day

We will go on walks in my neighborhood or your neighborhood (depending on the type of service scheduled). I live walking distance to two parks and love taking fur-babies there often. If the weather is icky, I love finding things indoors that will give the pet playtime. My yard is very large and provides lots of space outside for play. Attached to the doggy room is a large screened in covered porch outside. This area allows dogs to enjoy to benefits of being outside without being fully in the yard. I also have a second living room that I have converted into a dog room. It’s a safe and cozy space for the fur babies to play inside and sleep. There is adequate room for the kennels for the dogs who do kennel as well as a large, cozy couch. I also have a camera in there to keep a close eye on all things, an Alexa speaker to play relaxing music, and a tv that plays dog friendly shows.

Before booking a service for any animal, I would prefer a meet and greet. This ensures your pet is familiar with who I am and sees I am safe. This also ensures you’re comfortable with me and I can answer any questions you may have in person. If there are any medications or special instructions for your pet, the initial meet and greet is the place to walk me through that.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
