Trusted Dog-Loving ʻOhana 🐶🏡🐾

Pet care experience

Aloha! We’re new to Rover ~ but not new to loving dogs! We’re a pet-loving family with a calm, home-based lifestyle, and we’re so excited to welcome your furry friend into our ʻohana. In our clean, spacious home with a fully fenced yard, your dog won’t just be a guest — they’ll be part of the family, with plenty of play, structure, and cuddle time. From playful puppies to wise seniors, we’ve cared for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs — including picky eaters and those with shy or reactive personalities. With our friendly, well-socialized pups of our own and years of hands-on experience, we know how to make dogs feel safe, happy, and right at home. What makes us different? It’s our aloha-style care — warm, consistent, and full of heart. Every dog gets personalized attention and daily routine in a loving, real-home setting. Meet & greets are welcome (but not required for short stays) — we love making sure it’s a great fit for everyone!

Our dogs are house dogs and truly part of the family — they’re free to relax and make themselves at home. We don’t require guest dogs to be crated overnight if that’s not your preference. However, if your pup is already crate-trained or you’d like them crated during their stay, we have a clean, comfortable crate available and are happy to accommodate. We have a secure, fenced yard for playtime and a covered garage space set up as an additional play or shelter area when needed. It’s important to us that every dog feels safe, cared for, and loved. A little about us: My husband and I were both born and raised on the island of Oʻahu and moved to Oregon 15 years ago. We’ve raised three young adult children who still live with us — they’re busy with college, work, and their own hobbies like workouts, basketball, and bowling — but they’ll definitely sneak in some extra hugs and cuddles with your pup! We love to travel, hike, and explore. My husband is a great cook and takes the lead on meals. I help out too — and I enjoy weekly boxing workouts with friends. Our lifestyle is active, loving, and home-centered — and our goal is to create a space where your dog feels just as welcome and loved as ours. We look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!

Information Justel & Edwin U. would like to know about your pet

It’s important for us to understand your dog’s usual routine so we can help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for — just like they are at home. To ensure it’s a great fit for your pup and for our home, please share: • Behavioral patterns – including how they interact with other dogs, respond on leash, and whether they’re potty trained • Vaccination status – please confirm your dog is up to date on all required shots, including: • Rabies • Distemper/Parvo (DHPP or DAPP) • Bordetella (kennel cough) • Leptospirosis (recommended) • Canine Influenza (if required by your vet or common in your area) • Feeding schedule and any special dietary needs • Any medications they take and how/when they’re given • How they let you know they need a potty break • Whether they are crate-trained and their preferred sleeping setup (crate, bed, blanket, etc.) • Their comfort level with other dogs, people, or children • Any triggers or sensitivities (like loud noises, separation anxiety, etc.) • Their favorite things — like walks, toys, games, or belly rubs • Any commands, off-limit areas, or quirks we should know • An emergency contact we can reach if you’re unavailable during their stay • If your pup benefits from calming treats or chews in new environments, please feel free to send those along with them. We want to make their stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. The more we know, the better we can tailor their care to make them feel right at home — and give you total peace of mind while you’re away. We highly recommend a meet and greet for all new guests — especially for longer stays — to ensure the best fit for both your pup and ours. While not required for visits under three days, we want every dog to feel comfortable, safe, and welcome in our home.

A typical day

A typical day in our home starts with breakfast — we prepare fresh, homemade food for our dogs. After they eat, we take our Aussies out for a morning walk to burn off some energy and enjoy the fresh air. Once the workday begins, the dogs are free to relax, nap, or play as they please in our home or secure, fenced yard. I check in on them regularly during my breaks, and if your pup’s up for it, we’ll go for a short midday walk around the block. On weekends, we often go on longer walks or nearby adventures to keep things fun and active. Throughout the day, there’s time for free play, belly rubs, and cuddles. In the afternoon, when our family get home, we spend time together catching up and playing with the dogs as we wind down for the evening. We serve dinner, followed by an evening walk before settling in for the night. Before bed, we check in on each dog to make sure everyone is comfy, secure, and tucked in for a good night’s rest — always with a gentle “goodnight.” We’re happy to follow your dog’s routine as closely as possible — just let us know what they need. Our goal is to make them feel right at home and give you total peace of mind while you’re away.

Pet care fits naturally into our daily rhythm! Our mornings begin with breakfast and a walk, followed by mid-morning and afternoon breaks — perfect for playtime, cuddles, or an extra stroll. My husband is an early riser and often home early, so there’s almost always someone around to give your pup the attention and care they deserve. With our flexible schedule and genuine love for dogs, we offer a safe, structured, and loving environment where your pet can truly feel at home. I also love capturing sweet moments and would be happy to send daily photo updates upon request — so you can stay connected and see all the fun your pup is having while you’re away!
