Pet care experience
Going into the office? Trying to schedule a last minute getaway for the weekend? I work remotely each week day and have a smaller fenced backyard. (Please note the gates of the fence are not chain link, if you have a smaller dog, they will stay leashed in the backyard). You can feel safe knowing your furry family member will be loved and well taken care of. I have grown up with dogs, rabbits, hamsters and even chickens and turkeys since I was a little girl. I recently lost my beautiful 85lb 11 year old pup to cancer and I was very fortunate to be home with her each day while her and I navigated this journey. I volunteered at the Oakville Humane Society fostering for various animals. I offer private pet sitting and/or daycare. I have experience with puppies/puppy training, adult/ senior pups and cats. Pups are allowed on the couch and bed here and we will enjoy multiple walks, tons of snuggles and belly scratches. I only accept one client at a time so your pup will be spoiled with ALL of the attention. Weekday Pet Sitting Note: If you are seeking a pet sitter in your home during the weekdays I do work remotely from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Mon to Fri. I would bring my laptop and work from your home. Your pup will get several bathroom breaks during the day and a lunch time walk, lots of snuggles, fresh water top ups and their lunch (if they require a mid-day feeding) and treats. Depending on my meeting schedule and your required start time, I may not be able to accept the booking for your required day. I apologize in advance.

We had the pleasure of having Julie join us for a walk with our Labradoodle, Sadie. Julie will be sitting for us for the first time in a couple of weeks and we had asked her if she could come and visit with Sadie beforehand and take her for a walk so that Sadie could become more familiar and comfortable with her. Julie was more than accommodating, and Sadie loved her! She is very kind and friendly and ask lots of great questions and is very thoughtful to making sure we are all comfortable. We are still looking forward to having Julie spend more time with Sadie. Thanks Julie!

Julie stayed at our house for three nights! She came and met Lainey and us beforehand to go over our dogs schedule and get the lay of the land. She kept in touch with us while we were away and we appreciated the updates. She took Lainey out many times throughout the day and even kept up with some of our trainers tips that we hoped to continue while we were away. She left our place spotless, too! We already have another week booked with Julie and know she'll do a great job!
Julie stayed in our home for 22 days, caring for our dog. We would recommend her to all! Our dog was well cared for and received a lot of love. The house was left clean and she updated us as much/as little as we wanted. Thank you Julie ❤️

All pups coming into my home will need to be on a flea/tick preventative **IMPORTANT: Please let me know of any personality issues your pet may have that I should be aware of. Examples: barking, anxiety, fear of certain noises, fear of large dogs etc. Please note I am not able to accept dogs with severe reactivity**
A typical day
Lots of leashed walks through the St. Clair neighborhood with many stops for smells and pets from our lovely neighbors. We may go for a car ride over to the beach (only if your pup is comfortable on car rides) for an early am stroll on weekends, or meet up with a fellow doggy lover friend for a dog walk. I have lots of dog toys your pup can play with. If your pup likes to catch balls we will spend time out back playing catch. If your pup likes enrichment games we’ll play with those too. All dog personalities are different so I will make sure your pup has a great day based on their needs and temperament.

Availability
I work remotely from home during the weekdays and weekends are free. I would be home with your pet all of the time keeping your pet in sight while I work, whether it be in your home, or mine. On weekends I like to get up pretty early and start the morning with a walk, but if your dog likes to sleep in, I can easily be convinced too. Especially if dog snuggles are involved.
