Pet care experience
As a dedicated dog parent to a sweet, well-trained 1-year-old, GSP pup, I understand the importance of consistent care, positive reinforcement, and a loving environment. My dog is crate trained, obedient, high energy, and great with other dogs, so your pet will have a friendly companion during their stay. My hands-on experience raising and training my own dog has given me a strong understanding of canine behavior, routines, and needs. I’m confident handling feeding, exercise, and providing a safe, loving environment. Whether your dog is playful or prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel at home.

Made my trip a breeze! Sent updates all throughout, definitely will have Griffy stay with them again!

Julie and Josiah provided the perfect weekend stay for my dog, Kylo! He got plenty of snuggles and outside time, and had a great time playing with their pup as well. They were very responsive and kept me updated all weekend. 10/10! Would definitely recommend

I will definitely use Julie and Josiah again. Great communication and updates throughout the stay. 🤗

Absolutely outstanding! Julie and Josiah were absolutely amazing with my dog Mason! From the moment we met, I could tell they were warm, trustworthy, and true animal lovers. I got daily updates and the sweetest pictures, which gave me total peace of mind. Mason came home happy, relaxed, clearly well-cared for and completely exhausted (from playing nonstop with their own dog Nova). They both went above and beyond in every way- attentive, responsible, and kind. I’ll definitely be booking with them again—Mason already misses them!

We have a sweet, house-trained 1-year-old dog who no longer uses a crate during the day. She’s gentle, well-behaved, and gets along great with other dogs. If your pup is also house-trained, they’re welcome to be out and about with her. If your dog is more comfortable being crated when no one’s home, we’re happy to follow your routine—we’ve hosted plenty of crate-trained dogs and want them to feel safe and secure. We have a fully fenced backyard for safe playtime and also take daily walks to a nearby soccer field, so your dog will get plenty of exercise and fresh air.

Information Julie & Josiah S. would like to know about your pet
When caring for a dog in my home, I like to gather all the important details to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and at home. I’ll ask for basic information like their name, age, breed, and whether they're spayed or neutered. It's helpful to know their energy level, daily routine, and whether they're crate trained or have specific sleeping preferences. I also like to understand their feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any food allergies, restrictions, or medications they may need. Potty routines are important too—knowing how they signal they need to go out and how often helps keep everyone comfortable. Since I have a friendly resident dog, I’ll ask about how your dog gets along with others, whether they have any fear triggers, and how they do when left alone. If your dog has any behavior quirks or specific needs, I’m happy to accommodate them. I also ask that owners provide food, bowls, a leash, crate (if needed), and any favorite toys or blankets to help your dog feel more at home. I want every dog that stays with us to feel safe, happy, and loved—just like part of the family.
A typical day
I take my dog on daily outdoor walks at a nearby fenced-in soccer field, where she can safely enjoy off-leash time thanks to her strong recall training and friendly nature. It’s a great space for dogs to stretch their legs and explore. At home, we also have a fully fenced backyard, and we often leave the door open so the dogs can come and go freely between the house and yard—giving them plenty of fresh air, exercise, and freedom in a safe environment.

I'm a real estate agent with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be home often and provide plenty of attention to the dogs in our care. My husband works full time during the week, but we share pet care responsibilities and make a great team. I’m typically at the office Tuesday through Thursday from 8 AM to 12 PM and home by lunchtime. Each afternoon, I take our dog on a walk to a nearby soccer field for some fresh air and exercise. On other days, I may run an errand or have the occasional house showing, but I’m rarely away for long periods. Our dog is showered with love and attention every day, and your pup will be treated just like part of the family.
