Every dog is treated as my own. All areas cleaned multiple times a day. All dishes put through the dishwasher to ensure a thorough clean. Dogs are brushed as needed, bedding cleaned daily with new bedding as needed. I am especially concerned on holidays that may involve fireworks as many dogs are lost on these days. 50 years of dog experience combined with my nursing degree keeps them safe!!

A typical day
I have a large fenced yard and 2 seperate play areas as needed. I have many things that dogs may love to play with such a "ball pit", tunnels, exercise items, and a small pool to cool off in on the warm days. Walks in the neighborhood are very safe.

To ensure the safety of your pets, I now am NC licensed for boarding. I have had and cared for multiple dogs for 50 years-- both my own, fosters, and boarding for others. I have shown, trained and birthed litters for over 20 years. I am excellent with all ages as I have had dogs from ages 1 day to 17+ years. I can help with training puppies while they are with me. I am a RN and can give injectable medications along with oral meds. I can bathe and "tidy up" feet and nails as I am used to grooming show dogs. I have a large fenced yard and 2 seperate play areas as needed. I have many things that dogs may love to play with such a "ball pit", tunnels, exercise items, and a small pool to cool off in on the warm days. I keep many treats including several that I dehydrate myself so that I know the exact ingredients==chicken breast, sweet potatoes, and a ground turkey+breadcrumb mixture that is cut into small squares. Nothing but the best for everyone! I do have multiple dogs, but they are generally secured in another kennle building with only a few in the house 1-2. I am retired and rarely gone from my home. I can work within any schedule your pet may have with plenty of one-on-one and play time. Safety for your pet is of prime importance to me. I have several areas for exercise and play--a large fenced yard and 2 seperate play areas with 6 1/2 foot fencing. I can crate as needed including a large play-pen crate that is 4ft by 4ft with fluffy bedding.
Reviews
I hate to leave negative reviews for anything/ anyone especially related to how people make their income but my experience with Juli was upsetting for a few different reasons. To start off with the positive- her yard is gorgeous and great for dogs, her response time to messages were reasonable, I appreciate that she requires vaccines and keeps dogs separated, and I was able to book pretty last minute (I think 7-10 days out?) without issue. Where I get upset is the lack of proper communication and signs of lack of good care. My dog has little to no hair on her stomach and chaffs between her stomach and rear legs. It doesn’t require constant medication but when it does flare up, it does require ointment. I specifically talked to Juli about checking on the area and applying ointment prior to booking to make sure it was something she was comfortable with, requested it get checked for flaring up once a day, and it’s also in my dogs profile. After 5 days away, upon return the area was so horribly flared up it was basically one large flakey scab. I was heart broken for my dog. I was never informed of any flare up from Juli and I haven’t ever seen my dog have a flare this bad since it started happened. The flares also don’t appear over night and using the ointment kicks it in the butt pretty quickly. Overall I felt like the area was likely never looked at to check if the provided ointment would be needed. For me- that was hands down the most upsetting thing about this visit, however there were a few more minor things that were also red flags for me. Over message Juli said my dog was eating fine but upon pick up told me she barely ate (not like my dog but it happens). I also had a harness on my dog at drop off- I always have her harnessed in the car for safety purposes, but did specify to Juli that my dog hates the harness and to use her collar if needed. On day 2 I got pictures of my dog still wearing her harness despite previous instructions. On the last day I also got the same picture she sent on day 2 of her in the harness- so no new images, which is fine but was just unusual.
Juli has a wonderful place for dogs and is kind and professional. She greeted our dog with a few homemade snacks and won his loyalty right away. We will be back!

Jill was incredibly sweet and took wonderful care of Apolo. When we picked him up, he greeted us happily, looked relaxed, and it was obvious he had enjoyed his day. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. I would definitely recommend Jill to anyone looking for a kind and trustworthy dog sitter!
