I’m not usually someone who leaves negative reviews, but I feel like I need to share my experience. We’ve used Josh and Tianyu before, including after a previous incident where my dog Ollie was bitten by another dog in their care. While they were apologetic and issued a refund, there was no support offered for the vet visit. But we still gave them another chance given the explanation of the occurrence and that they wouldn’t place them together again. At pickup on a separate occasion, a comment was made that Ollie “just doesn’t stop” when I asked how her day was, which already made me feel like she was being viewed as an inconvenience rather than just an active/playful dog. The next day I dropped her off, I was contacted at work saying she was being “naughty” with a video attached of Ollie just playing with a toy, followed by a request to replace it after it was damaged. Even if the wording “naughty” wasn’t meant negatively, being contacted during my workday about something so minor and then asked to replace a $10 toy added unnecessary stress and honestly made me feel like she was a burden rather than just a normal, active dog. It wasn’t about the replacement itself, it was how it was handled. I also messaged ahead of pickup explaining how I felt. When I arrived, ollie was outside completely alone and unsupervised and even their own dog tato was inside with them which has never happened before. I was told it was because they knew I was coming, but that hasn’t been the case in any prior pickups even when I’ve said I’m on my way. When I tried to talk everything through, ollie was still repeatedly called “naughty,” there was no acknowledgment or apology, and the conversation was very dismissive with a lot of eye rolling and shrugging. As I was leaving, one of them even said “let’s go naughty boy” to their own dog, which felt pretty petty given the conversation we had just had. A follow-up message afterward also still missed the point of what I was trying to communicate. Overall, I didn’t feel respected or comfortable with how this was handled. Based on multiple experiences now, I would not recommend them if you have an active dog or expect clear, respectful communication and accountability when concerns are raised.

Our dog Belle had a wonderful time with Tianyu and Josh. We loved the photo and video updates throughout the day. Great communication and sweet people! Can’t wait to book again with them!
