I am a full-time college student and that means I am not around my own pets a lot, but I still find opportunities for me to engage with animals. Right now, I both work with the research animals in my University’s Biology Department as well as volunteer with squirrels at the MN Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Safety, trust & environment
I am incredibly willing to meet a dog at the comfort level they are at and work with them. I am very detail oriented and would ensure correct care, exactly as requested and communicated. I am active and willing to go on walks, train the dogs, work them through their feelings, and bathe them need be.
Information Jordan S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has special needs ahead of time. That doesn’t scare me away, but I would need to know exactly what is needed for that dog and perhaps meet up before I do anything alone with the dog, depending on the service. If your dog is leash or barrier reactive, just let me know so that I may work with them in the area where they are comfortable.
A typical day
I love to provide positive stimulation for your dogs. Giving time to sniff, run, and play will always be a priority, depending on what your dog needs. As always, if you specify some type of training, I would love to do that. If there are any spots your dog loves, let me know I can for sure accommodate that!

Pet care experience
I grew up around dogs my whole life. I am now in university, studying to work with animals and love to enrich myself with experiences with them. I have worked at Red Barn Pet Retreat as a dog handler (and later lead handler) for nearly 2 years. My duties there included taking care of large groups of dogs, ensuring their safety and fun, training dogs, grooming dogs, correctly feeding dogs, and administering medication. I left the workplace to give more time for the college I attend, but picked up a part time job while there in which I take care of the biology department’s research animals. I also enjoy training dogs and am willing to work with where a dog is at when I interact with them.
Reviews

Very reliable and friendly. Took lots of pictures and Karma enjoyed her time with Jordan. Thank you!

Jordan is one of the best on Rover. She will go above and beyond when watching your fur baby and document it all so you can read how it went when you get home. I highly recommend her for your future pet watching needs.

Once again, Jordan was a wonderful sitter for Murphy. We got two great updates during about a 6 hour sit, and Murphy enjoyed their time together. She took Murphy for two walks, and kindly brought in a few packages for us as well. Thank you Jordan!

Jordan is a great sitter. She helped me out last minute with a Sunday morning sit so I could have breakfast with some friends. She sent an update with lots of pictures and Murphy got lots of belly rubs. Thanks Jordan!
