I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and for the past eight years I’ve volunteered as a dog handler and foster with my county animal shelter, where I specialize in working with large dogs experiencing anxiety, fear, or behavioral challenges. In addition to behavioral work, I’ve also cared for puppies and for dogs recovering from medical trauma, including those who need extra patience, gentle handling, and calm routines while they heal. Through my shelter and foster work, I’ve gained deep experience in: •Reading canine body language and stress signals •Handling leash reactivity and fear-based behaviors •Supporting dogs through transitions, new environments, and routines •Using positive reinforcement and patience to build trust •Caring for puppies and helping them learn healthy habits •Supporting dogs during medical recovery and following care plans I understand that every dog is unique. Whether your pup is shy, energetic, reactive, recovering, or just needs a little extra reassurance, I provide calm, consistent care that helps them feel safe and confident. I treat every dog as if they were my own; with respect, structure, and plenty of affection. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away, knowing your dog is not only cared for, but truly understood. This was our third time leaving Cookie and Cherry with Jonathan, and every experience has been amazing. As soon as my girls saw him, they got so happy and excited, they immediately wanted to go into his house, which really shows how comfortable they feel with him. Jonathan always kept us updated about them, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing how they were doing while we were away. We can honestly see that my dogs feel like Jonathan’s home is a second home for them. That feeling alone brought us so much happiness and relief. We’re truly grateful for the care and love he gives them every time.
I couldn’t have better things to say about Jonathan. He’s kind, communicative and a confident handler. He’s exactly what we needed for our recent Malinois rescue. It felt like a trusted friend was watching our Charli, and I couldn’t recommend him more!

Jonathan took lots of photos and videos and gave me updates on how Cali was doing, which I greatly appreciated and it gave me peace of mind. This was my first time booking on Rover, so I was worried because Cali is very high-energy Belgian Malinois that does dog sports and not your typical couch potato. Jonathan did a great job meeting my dog’s needs and always replied pretty quickly. I felt comfortable knowing Cali was in good hands, and I would definitely book with Jonathan again. Pets parents if you have a dog who needs to be separated from other dogs or doesn’t do well in dog boarding facilities with high volume of dogs. Jonathan is your guy, He used to foster dogs and rehab them with behavioral issues and understand dog’s body language.
Jona (Jonathan) is a godsend. We have a reactive pup and he knew exactly what she needed and took such great care to make her comfortable around other dogs. I’m so impressed by his level of care and expertise with dogs. He sent lots of pictures of their stay and they went on a lot of adventures. Hands down the best. Can’t wait to book with him again! 🐶🐶💕
Jonathan took great care of Hunter and Hope - Hope has some anxiety meeting new dogs and Jonathan did a great job of making sure she was comfortable! I definitely recommend him !

I have a flexible schedule and can easily accommodate your dog’s routine. Your dog will get reliable care, exercise, enrichment, and attention throughout the day.

I provide a calm, safe home with a fenced yard and access to nearby hiking trails. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless your home rules say otherwise, and I always follow your routine and care instructions.
A typical day
On a typical day, we might explore nearby hiking trails, enjoy a walk in the park, play fetch in the backyard, and wind down with some snuggles on the couch.
