Pet care experience
I've been around dogs for as far back as I can remember, everything from Great Danes to Chihuahuas. I'm often asked back to repeat sit for people, because they know that their pets are in safe hands with me, and that their house will be clean and tidy when they return from their holiday. I've done pet sits all over the UK and can travel up to 100 miles from my home in Hartlepool, as I don't have any work or family commitments that prevent me from travelling. However, please note that if you live more than 40 miles drive from Hartlepool, then I will require travelling expenses on top of the sit payment please. I prefer to be with smaller dogs and dogs that are obedient. If your dog has behavioural issues, is aggressive towards people or other dogs, or has bitten anyone in the past, then please don't message me. If you do message me, please be polite and courteous. It was nice to know our ‘kids’ were being well looked after. Coming home was a dream! The house was perfect, and the pets were so happy! Their routine was maintained, and they just loved on us when we walked in and gave Jon a cuddle before he left too. It was very clear that he cared for them. We would deffo recommend.
Jon has sat for us twice now and on both occasions our two dogs and blind cat have been fit, healthy and happy on our return. Jon leaves the house immaculate. He is booked to sit for us later in the year.

I always adjust my routine to fit in with that of the animals. Their wellbeing is of paramount importance and I'll never leave them alone for any longer than is necessary. If your pet has an appointment booked, then I can take them to it in my car, but if they cause damage to my car I will expect you to cover the full cost of repairs.

I always prefer to meet the dog(s) before I look after them, so I would need to come to your home to meet you and them to make sure we all get along. However, for sits further afield, this is not always practical and so we would have a video call beforehand.
A typical day
Typically, I get up when the dog tells me it's time to get up, I let them out, feed and walk them according to their schedule and depending on the weather(!) and the activity level of the dog, then I typically spend all day with them, chilling and playing when they get bored. And I'm perfectly comfortable with dogs sleeping on my bed!

I'm self-employed and about to launch a new brand of joint and muscle pain relief products, which doesn't require me to be in a fixed location, so I can carry out pet sitting duties as well as work on the business.
